The Serious Fraud Office is to investigate whether the now not so shadowy NZ First Foundation has broken the Electoral Act over the way in which it handles donations.    Readers will recall that just last week WRP pushed back on this labeling it ‘fake news’.   Readers will further recall that both the NZ First Party President and Treasurer resigned/pushed out of office after raising concerns about the Foundation being used to launder donations to the Party without declaring them.

And Stuff is reporting on a damning claim by the Ministry of Health that the government ignored the pleas of the National Verification Committee for Measles and Ruebella Elimination for catch-up and targeted vaccination programs which resulted in the exporting of measles to Samoa where at least 81 people died.    I have close links with Samoa.   Self and Mrs Vet are back there early next month.   I can tell you the wounds are raw.   Samoans remember what happened when the country was ravaged by the Spanish flue outbreak back in 1919 caused by an inept (NZ) colonial administration.   And now the measles epedemic caused by an equally inept NZ government with blood on its hands with Julie Anne Genter, the Greens Associate Health Minister, trying to shut the stable door after the horse has bolted with just announced new vaccination initiative.   Too late from some.
