New Police head honcho Andrew Coster just lost some capital with Hosking this morning.

In another ill judged explaining  of some special people being permitted to run vigilante road closures to the interfere with public access, a problem clearly unlawful to a thinking person,  the newly minted Political Pawn found himself defending the indefensible.

A Herald stringer was prevented from travelling on State Highway one when it is not in doubt news activity is deemed essential so even the Police themselves would struggle to block the newshound’s progress.

The  apologist’s  suggestion that the unlawful blocking of public roads is only running under direct police supervision collapsed spectacularly when it was revealed the supervision had a gap of over an hour when the uniform was required elsewhere,  a period that sadly coincided with the natives blocking of the Herald person.

Then the flounder attempted to run an alternative defense that it was unlikely a reporter based in the City of Sails would be able to legitimise a presence so far from his head office. Alas that crashed on takeoff when the newsie was discovered to be based in nearby Kerikeri, it only  became a ditch to die in?

There is no doubt the old adage that bad law is very hard to enforce got worse when revealed in the timeline Barry Soper has  email evidence that Deputy Commissioner Mike Clement was a party discussing the Crown Law advice that Nosy Parker went to the mattresses over releasing, that seemed to back the widening understanding amongst legal people the whole lock down is probably unenforceable under the spurious basis that was used for the early weeks of putting the nation  under “house arrest”?

My circle has evidence coming in daily that the lockdown is leaking like a sieve, and not a very good strainer to boot.

Oh sure there was the rather disturbing scenes played out on Pravda last night where Plod swept the Sumner beach of all not “exercising”.  FFS it was well into the twenties yesterday and the beach suddenly became like an oasis in a desert. I have seen an aerial shot of the McCormicks Bay causeway bumper to bumper.

Yes it was an extremely worrying set of circumstances that saw New Zealand fold up and slink inside their hovels while the Triumvirate proceeded to dictate all that was to happen. And that lasted for a whole month.
I think there is evidence it has just about ended  for increasing numbers who are discovering maybe The Prinzces and her devoted minions might be getting onto thin ice, and locking everyone up is not a continuing successful strategy.

As stated above enforcing bad law will become as effective as pushing water up a slope with a rake, a task that is fruitless until it freezes,  yesterday in the village of the damned that was a distant dream with temperatures  in the mid twenties.
In the Far North, East Coast and Murapara illegal activity attempted to be talked away is no different.
Maybe get fresh orders from Nash and Ardernearly a recommended next step Mr Coster.

LoL just typing that had the Apes moving the piano for Mr Shifter and Mr Lipton?
