Too many seem to be hanging their hat on a hoped for ending of restriction of civil rights, on the development of a Covid 19 vaccine.

I posted previously on that being a faint hope indeed and nothing has been suggested that alters my personal view on that.

Closely related genetically to the Common Cold virus that has eluded any and all attempts to find a vaccine for that regular occurring infectious problem that is not even measured as to its effects on production, it remains just a cost of doing business.

No the future will involve continuing the measures around Hygiene, personal contact and social distancing that many if not most have employed since, well for ever I guess.

How many recall being asked by a mother or maybe a grandy, Have you got a “clean Hanky”.
There were wash basins in public toilets as far back as I recall but soap pretty optional.

I came late to hugging all and sundry and kissing even more to be avoided.

I have no supporting evidence but I am informed a major problem around the Cluster based on the Southern wedding was one particularly overt young lady and kissing or was that slobbering all and sundry.

The NZ covid infection related deaths are vastly exaggerated by the more than half that were directly from the Rosewood retirement home in Spreydon Christchurch. It was somewhat similar with the moronic decision to release the Passengers into Sydney in the dead of night from the petridish cruise boat.

With such low numbers dying with and not from such infections is  a mere blip on the surface of what has been manufactured from dodgy data with copious amounts of fear to ensure rising.

I ceased with flying domestically in NZ years ago when repeated bronchial infections followed almost all flights, the last I enjoyed (not really) was a direct from NPR to CHC in an eggbeater with a sniffing sneezing coughing youngster seated behind me as Air NZ could possibly establish,  who clearly was never asked about a hanky, possibly had no idea such germ containers existed.

My cynical answer to the headline is “as long as polling indicates a favourably response” no more no less.
