I guess there will be a lot of people waiting with baited breath to see the results of the latest TV1 Colmar Brunton Poll due for release at 6.00 pm tonight.
I’ll be bold. Labour down a bit, National up a bit and a 20 point margin. Greens at 5%, ACT at 3% and Winston First at 2%. St Jacinda continues to walk on water.
Meanwhile my Labour Party sources tell me that Willow Jean Prime will be running a full-on campaign in Northland targeting both the List and electorate vote leaving the Jones boy whistling Dixie. Not hard to figure out why with tensions between Labour and NZ at breaking point with Winston trying to cut lose while wanting all the while to keep his job. A difficult exercise at the best of times but with the election just 12 weeks away and facing political oblivion and desperate times spawn desperate measures.

I hate to be pedantic but it's 'bated breath i.e. an alternate version of abated. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/with_bated_breath
fredonas … thank you for picking up on my 'deliberate' error. Virtual chocolate fish awaits.

Who cares about the TV1 poll?It is just a way TV One can give the cackling chooks who masquerade a Political journalists a chance to fill in the space between advertisments with their babble.We don't need the harridans of the press corps to tell us National will loose the next elecion. They will loose it because they are loosers. MPs drrawn from little people of no substance and zero spine who cannot cut through who should have had Labour on the ropes but instead decided to stage a palace coup at a critical moment.
Labour 50% National 33%Ian
Vet, from your comments on WJP, campaigning to keep Winston first out of parliament, sounds like Labour have contracted the same hubris National had after three terms under Key. Do they really think they can get over 50% in an MMP election?Paranormal
@The VeteranLOLs 🙂
Andrei from planet whatever but definitely not earth. Paranormal … I don't think that Labour is expecting to poll over 50% even after taking account of the likely wasted vote (NZF, Maori, New Conservative and assorted rats and mice typified by JLR who is defintely on the rat side of the equation). Rather, they see the Greens as a logical support partner(much like ACT is to National) and that together they can muster the numbers to govern for the next three years at least … 2023 different story perhaps all per courtesy of the bastard electoral system we have called MMP.
I was surprised to see the Greens above 5% in the One News poll. With a Jacinda taking their oxygen I wouldn’t be surprised to see them drop under the threshold this election. Given that Labour seem he’ll bent on losing potential friends that can help them into parliament. Mind you I’m keen to see Winston First our, just didn’t expect it from the beneficiary of WRP’s charity.Paranormal
