In the manner of the modern world the videos of this have gone viral, and the same modern culture has produced mockery (but not yet parody). But I agree with actor James Woods that this one of the best – probably because I always liked Walking On Sunshine more than Footloose.

Is history repeating itself. The anti Vietnam protest movement is lionised some 50 years later as romantic heroes. Is overblown rubbish, but in the case of those who protested within the law and peaceably, it is fair enough to consider them honourable for trying to work within the Constitutional and socially accepted boundaries.

And this may blow your mind: Boudin’s son, Chesa Boudin, raised by Ayers and Dohrn after she and his Dad, David Gilvert went into jail for years for those murders, is now the San Francisco DA.

I think you are a bit too pessimistic. After all this is how democracy works, indeed is meant to work. The younger generation without the wisdom of experience, or those whose memories are short sometimes fall for a season for the repackaged failures of the past. And the only way they learn is suffering the consequences of those ballot box decisions.
