No Minister

I’ve been on the road almost constantly over the last few weeks hence the paucity in posts but for the last month or so I have been inundated with e-mails all from different addresses (up to ten a day) telling me my Norton subscription is OOD and my computer is about nuke itself. Blacklisting doesn’t work because they’re all different addresses. Reporting them as Spam doesn’t appear to work because of the ever changing addresses and my (real) Norton doesn’t appear to be picking them up as Spam and dumping them in the Spam folder.

Would appreciate any advice on a way forward … already three e-mails this morning.

  1. A couple of months ago we had daily calls at about 1.15pm telling us our computer was going to self destruct or similar. Went on for about 10 days and were automated so blowing our whistle into the phone was no use. Have been stopped now for about 6 weeks.

  3. Depends on what virus software you are using, whether is actually current, and whether it has been updating.

I use “Trend Micro Internet Security” which you can down load or even perhaps have your machine checked out by a techo.

  4. What email client are you using? I have an outlook rule that marks anything with “Norton” in the subject as read and deletes it.
