No Minister

A Tradesman or other self employed wealth creator has a real need for a vehicle that can tow up to three and a half tonnes using a vehicle that doubles as a family car. Currently there are several in that category including the Ford ranger, Toyota Hilux, VW Touareg, Holden Colorado now being disappeared by General Motors, Landrover Discovery, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi Triton etc. Vehicles that double as people movers for weekend sport and leisure.

These workhorses can also in addition to towing a trailer with timber, fencing, premix, and other product to support a small construction project, carry a decent quantity of the tools and equipment involved, dry secure and accessible.

Now the Idealogical driven numpties who pretend to govern us will impose a tax up to six thousand dollars on those very necessary work vehicles to offset the gifting of up to eight thousand dollars to Mrs Khandallah, Mrs Fendalton and Mrs Remuera as a discount on the SUV to carry Summer and her sister to their private school in a virtue signalling exercise of peak smug.

In once again turning their back on productive New Zealand, the Ardernearly muppets will massively disrupt the world that continues to fund and grow New Zealand Inc a clear demonstration of neglect and certain disrespect will again never be probed by a compliant MSM who are already headlining the great leap forward. No connection to the alleged weekly strategy conference calls with the political enablers to map out the program of course.

Where will this tax end up, again almost certainly all if not most will swell the bank accounts of the Asian and European vehicle makers.

The cheapest EV currently is the MG at $49 000, about twice a new Suzuki Swift, possibly the best selling small car for a shopping trolly.

Will such utter virtue signalling BS move the polls, who knows but it will sure distract from the growing cluster fornication around the billion dollar bike bridge.

  1. It’s awesome, isn’t it? Working class kiwis who can’t afford a $60k EV will be subsidising the wealthy elite who can.

Farmers and other rural folk to whom EV’s are as useless as tits on a bull will be subsiding effete coffee swilling denizens of Grey Lynn, whose EVs are mostly useful for driving the kids 2km to drop them off outside the school gates.

And to top it all off, these EV’s are adding load to a generation grid where peak demand is completed with coal generation!

You couldn’t make this shit up.

BTW you can watch the coal burning here:
