No Minister

A scenario that may well have happened in Mid Canterbury during the now recently assessed as a one in two hundred year flood event.

I have personally observed a Toyota Land Cruiser with Snorkel moving in flood water higher than the Engine bonnet making a rescue.

Struggling to even imagine how an EV Hi Lux whenever it arrives Jaz, being similarly useful.

  1. Bro, Hemi here from Northland
Us cuzzies on the couch like reading your spluterings from time to time. The bros don’t understand it half the time but Aunt Hine thinks you’re pretty cool.
Anyways bro we all think those Nissan Leafs make great eelers.

The cuzzies tell us on a Wednesday that the marae would like a feed for the League game on the weekend on the big screen from Australia.

Rangi sends a txt to a bro in Penrose and by Friday we have a Leaf sitting near the marae.

Come early Saturday morning us two bros put us rubber gumboots and Aunt Hine’s rubber panties (she has a pee problem) and drive that Leaf at full waka speed into the ceek.

Bro..the bang is awesuuuum, and the big blue flash of light as it arcs across the water is just choice bro.

The secret is for Rangi to get the upstream door open real quick so all the stunned eels flow into the car.

A quick wave to Uncle Willie and he pulls us out.

Rangi sells the Leaf to a parts dealer in Lincoln Road.
As Rangi says, and hes a thinker, you cant go eeling with a 2007 Ford Falcon, can you bro.

Aunt Edith reckons those Leaf owners are dickheads and probably don’t recognise the smell of fried eel or the brown sheen on some of the parts from Brodies Creek in their Leafs anyways.

GD keep up the good wok bro, get the cuzzies up here for a feed bro but give us a bit of notice so we can work out if it’s a two Leaf Hangi or a 4 Leaf Hangi…

    Go the Warriors bro.
