Wasn’t that blue part called a “housing crisis” or something?
So what word do we ascribe to the red part now? Catastrophic? Calamity? Clusterfuck?
I can’t help thinking that we’re past the point of no return on this particular issue. I haven’t run the calculations on this but even at a guess we’d have to have house prices stagnating for a couple of decades while wages and salaries triple before we could get back to some normality.
What are the odds of that happening under any future government.
Even aside from the homeless and state housing, the only way my kids are ever going to own a house will be when the First Bank of Dad leverages existing assets.

Increasing the availability of suitable land and wage inflation will make a difference.
