How’s that for a click-bait headline?

Perhaps I should have gone for

White Supremacist, Trump loving Insurrectionist Wins Virginia Governorship.

But the one I’ve chosen is not actually click-bait. It just so happens that all of these things are connected, and in ways the Democrat party and its MSM stenographers and activists have denied or downplayed for months now.

Rape

As in rape-rape, as Whoopi Goldberg would say.

The man on the ground with his pants pulled down and a bloodied mouth in this photo is one Scott Smith, a plumber who turned up at a school board meeting in Loudoun County, Virginia, to ask why the board had not done anything about his daughter being raped by a 15-year old “gender-fluid” boy wearing a dress in the girls locker room. That first got the superior dismissive treatment:

.. [superintendent Scott Ziegler] claimed bafflingly at the meeting that there had been no assault in a school restroom anywhere in Loudoun County and airily dismissed parents’ concerns about the risks of transgender bathrooms. Then he gave a little woke homily to show those powerless parents in the room who really was in charge.

“Time magazine in 2016 called that a red herring … we’ve heard it several times tonight from our public speakers but the predator transgender student or person simply does not exist,” he said.

One after the other, activists spoke in favor of the unpopular policy and traduced the majority of parents in the room as bigots. One said “hate … seems to be dripping off the followers of Jesus in this room.”

Then it got worse. Mr Smith unfortunately ran into a trans-activist, who knew exactly how to play him: she told him to his face that his daughter was lying about being raped. He called her a “bitch” and that’s when the cops moved in.

[local] left-wing prosecutor, Buta Biberaj, reportedly a decarceration proponent, tried to get Smith jailed for his disruptive behavior. She’s against jailing criminals but all for locking up an apolitical dad looking for accountability from a school that failed to protect his daughter.

Jeering progressives demonized and dehumanized him. They fat-shamed him on social media and toasted their success at getting him banned from the next school board meeting at which they passed their policy to turn all Loudoun County school bathrooms transgender.

The sexually assaulted daughter never entered their heads because #MeToo and #BelieveAllWoman is so 2020 Trump era even before the selection of Gropey Joe by Democrat voters finished it off.

And worse…

Superintendent Ziegler then declared in the meeting that the parents trying object to the activists constituted an unlawful assembly, which enabled another arrest. He has since admitted he was wrong about that: no word from him on this however:

Earlier this week, emails revealed that the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office in August refused Ziegler’s request to weaponize law enforcement against parents at school board meetings. “[Y]our request is extraordinary and would likely constitute LCSO’s commitment of a minimum of approximately 65 sworn deputies. Despite this, you fail to provide any justification for such a manpower intensive request,” Sheriff Mike Chapman responded after Ziegler sent Chapman an over-the-top list of requests for additional law enforcement at meetings.

And worse…

It turns out that Ziegler was lying; emails revealed that he had known about the then alleged sexual assault the day it happened, as had the rest of the school board, and they kept quiet when he lied about in the meeting.

As it turned out the father had it right. The boy has been convicted for sexual assault, technically “two counts of forcible sodomy, one count of anal sodomy, and one count of forcible fellatio,” The two counts arise from the fact that he got shipped off to another school where he raped another girl in the same manner., skirt and all. Incidentally this caused a genuine school protest, as in “why didn’t anybody tell us?“:

Today, hundreds of Loudoun County students walked out of their classrooms, protesting the treatment of the victims, the victims’ families, and the student bodies of every high school, who were kept in the dark about the danger looming in their schools.

Terrorism

The National School Boards Association (NSBA), used this incident as one of several examples to buttress their claim of a “growing number of threats of violence and acts of intimidation occurring across the nation” against school boards in a letter to the Federal Justice Department where they demanded that the DOJ and FBI apply the “Domestic Terrorism” part of the Patriot Act to such parents. What’s more they wrote this letter with help from the Biden Administration. The White House specifically asked them to include “incidents” which would justify DOJ and FBI involvement in what was supposed to look like an outside plea for help.

Yes, the likes of the Loudoun school board and the NSBA wanted to call these parents domestic terrorists, and they got what they wanted.

Unlike the usual glacial pace with which government responds to requests, this time, within days Attorney General Merrick Garland parroted the NSBA’s language in instructing the FBI/DOJ to prosecute people who threaten, harass, and intimidate school board members – which presumably includes fathers angry about their daughter’s in-school rapes. The other examples were even more pathetic, including “angry” phone calls and emails.

The NSBA has since apologised for the letter and withdrawn it. Too little. Too late. The same has not been done for the DOJ/FBI memo. But what else is to be expected when you have solid gold-plated morons like Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois, who used Google to investigate these claims because he’s smart:

“I typed in school board violence on a search engine this morning. Page after page is coming up … I don’t believe we should infringe on free speech but free speech does not involve threats and violence, period”

But he’s actually no dumber than Merrick Garland, the Attorney General in charge of the DOJ and FBI, who admitted under Senate questioning that he and his senior staff had also not done any checking up on the NSBA claims before they issued the memo. I suggest you watch these three videos of Garland being torn apart by GOP Senators Ted Cruz (Harvard Law), Tom Cotton (Harvard Law) and Josh Hawley (Yale Law).

I’ve seen AG’s from Janet Reno (Clinton) to Ashcroft (Bush) to Holder (Obama) get ripped in Congress, but I don’t recall anything as brutal as this – and deservedly so. I’ll put up Hawley’s to be visible.

Racism and Elections

Into this hornet’s nest stepped the Democrat running for the Virginian Governorship, Terry McAuliffe, who had been the Governor before (it’s limited to one term). During a debate against his GOP opponent on September 28 he said:

“I don’t think that parents should be telling schools what they should teach”

For an old, tough and experienced politician like McAuliffe it was an incredible mistake. He’s long been one of the great rogues of American politics: an old school Democratic politician and a long-time Clinton fund-raiser and enforcer,. Moreover, in a state where Biden beat Trump by 10 points and in a situation where McAuliffe had looked like he was cruising to victory it was an issue he could have just glossed over.

Youngkin promptly hit him with powerful attack ads. Incredibly McAuliffe proceeded to double down on that statement and other things educational as well, Virginia Democrat Terry McAuliffe suggests parents concerned about Critical Race Theory are racist, then refuses to define CRT. The polls began to shift – especially on education.

The economy and crime actually ranked ahead of education, but there was no good news on those fronts either. McAuliffe grew desperate and yet learned nothing. Apparently trapped in a Progressive bubble he called on President Obama, who promptly told Virginia parents that all this stuff about transgender locker rooms and Critical Race Theory was just culture war shit dreamed up by the Republicans.

He called on President Biden, who mentioned the magic word “Trump” twenty four times in his usual rambling, low energy speech. McAuliffe was no better on that, mentioning Trump so many times in a TV interview that even the host dragged him as to how pathetic it was – on CNN.

On the last day he hauled in one Randi Weingarten, the head honcho of the teachers unions via the American Federation of Teachers, who had fought for eighteen months to keep schools across the US closed because Covid-19 is especially dangerous to little kids and teachers.

Where education had become the key killer point, how could this guy be so tin-eared!

That last day also brought the final irony/death blow, as McAuliffe said that:

“In the final week of this race, Glenn Youngkin has doubled down on the same divisive culture wars that have fueled his campaign from the very beginning,”

And then closed his campaign with the message that there are too many white teachers in Virginia schools and that he wanted to reduce their numbers in to “make everybody feel comfortable.”

He deserved to lose in a landslide and it was only the usual Democrat Party City machines in places like Fairfax County (also dominated by high income Washington D.C. bureaucrats who are natural Democrat Party allies), that enabled him to get within a couple of points.

While education was the killer factor in this race there was also the economy and crime as big factors, and the interesting aspect is that, unlike Bill Clinton after 1994, there is no indication that the Democrats can change course, or that they even want to. At a minimum it may be that we won’t be hearing “Trump” mentioned much by the Democrats from here on.

For me, the real question aside from the Democrats current insanity will be whether Youngkin can actually do anything much to change all this in ways the Democrats cannot reverse when they re-take power. The GOP did win the Virginia State House so there’s some power there, and the Democrats will be on the back foot for a while.

But it seems they truly do believe in things like Critical Race Theory, Transgender bathrooms and the inveterate White Racism of Americans, so it’s going to take some heavy election losses, especially in Blue States, to change that. Virginia might be the start but we’ll have to wait and see what happens across the rest of America in the next year.
