Justice at last

Pretty dramatic stuff that you normally never see outside of a TV show.

I guess we’re about to find out if Antifa/BLM still have enough power to riot in the streets, or whether the Democrats who run those cities no longer need them or want them now that Trump is gone.

A Grabien supercut of the media excusing, justifying, and actively promoting violence in the streets.

Certainly they wanted Rittenhouse found guilty in this political trial. Given the hopelessness of the prosecution and its witnesses it seems obvious that the charges should never have been laid in the first place.

Here’s a run down of the MSM’s riot-inciting lies about Kyle Rittenhouse, including it hyperventilating about Rittenhouse crossing a state line. In fact, he didn’t; he was working as a lifeguard at a pool in Kenosha, which is where his dad and grandparents lived, and where he used to live.

Rittenhouse can’t sue Biden for that, but he can sue the MSM for all the shit they pulled on this event, including numerous claims that the people killed were Black.

They’re still at even now in the face of the acquittal. MSNBC was banned from the courtroom because one of their people tried to follow the jury members, undoubtedly to dox them to the Antifa crowd.

Rittenhouse will have the Covington kid, Nick Sandmann, to help him, hopefully, like Sandmann, winning from the MSM millions of dollars, which he’ll need to build a new life away from the Antifa crowd who likely will hunt him down.

BTW, they’ve identified one of Rittenhouse’s other attackers, one who didn’t get shot. His background is similar to the pedophile and the domestic abuser who were killed.

I’ve no doubt he’s learned nothing from his lucky survival and will be a gleeful participant in the next Antifa/BLM “fiery but peaceful protests”.

Maurice Freeland, 39, has admitted that he was the one who kicked Kyle Rittenhouse in the head on the night of August 25,2020.

Rittenhouse is charged with First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety of Freeland, who was only known as ‘jump-kick man’. The state has painted all these actors as heroes attempting to take down an ‘active shooter’

[Freeland] was charged with Battery Domestic Abuse, Criminal Damage to Property Domestic Abuse and Disorderly Conduct Domestic Abuse

Also remember that none of this would have happened if the people who run the town of Kenosha – Democrats of course – had allowed the Police to do their job, rather than telling them to stay out of the way while Antifa/BLM went apeshit on their town.

  1. Let us look at this

The police attempt to arrest a rapist who resists them while armed with a knife.

During the arrest the perpetrator is shot and paralyzed.

This leads to days of “mostly peaceful protests” during which 100s of millions of dollars worth of damage is done.

On the third day of rioting groups of citizens described by the media as white supremacists and armed militiamen were protecting local businesses against the arsonists and looters wreaking havoc when a young man armed with a semi automatic rifle became separated from his companions as he put out a fire at a car yard

He was singled out by a convicted child rapist who objected to him putting out a fire he had just set chased him and cornered him against some parked cars and attempted to take his rifle from him

Another convicted felon then fired a handgun behind him leading the the young man shooting the child rapist

The young man then fled toward the police lines chased by a bunch of thugs, one of whom, another convicted felon, smacked him in the head with a skateboard causing him to fall to the ground

Another thug then kicked him in the head – the DA conveniently could not identify this individual though the media can

The fellow with the skateboard then got in two more blows before being shot as the young man attempted to get to his feet

Yet another convicted felon, armed illegally with a 9mm Glock pistol approached the young man and pointed it in his face and had his right bicep blown off

The young man fled and turned himself into the police two hours later

Listening to the media you would think the “victims” in this were model citizens while the young man who shot them, who had spent the daylight hours cleaning graffiti and the night putting out the arsonist’s fires was a force of pure evil

Has the world always been this weird?

  2. Once you take the right wing extremist spin out, you have to ask what kind of place the US has become where teenage kid can legally carry around a loaded semi automatic rifle in public and blow away a few fellow citizens and not only be not held accountable, but be hailed as a hero by right wing extremists. You won’t ask though, because this is an opportunity to own the libs!

    • The same sort of country where a convicted felon like Gaige Grosskreutz can illegally posses a Glock pistol and never be charged for that crime.

Fortunately his gun arm will likely never be good enough again to hold and fire such a weapon, making the world an even safer place than it was with one less pedophile and one less domestic abuser.

    • So, if your house is being looted and burned, you will be quite happy to let it be looted and burned while the police just stand back. Thanks for letting us know where you stand. Hard to do without a spine.

    • Perhaps St Jude you might feel more at ease if you were aware of Sir Robert Peels 9 principles of policing. Here’s an excerpt from principle 7: the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full-time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen

  3. It would be almost impossible for Rittenhouse to successfully sue the media in the US. Since you pride yourself on your knowledge of the US Constitution, you would know the first amendment and the cases decided under it, make the media virtually immune from a suit in the circumstances of Rittenhouse. You not only have to prove the media were wrong, you would also have to show deliberate malice in the reporting. This is way beyond misreporting facts or setting out an opinion, as the media are entitled to do.

So sure, Rittenhouse might sue, he might even convince a jury, though in my view that would be unlikely. it is one thing to acquit someone because the burden of proof always rests on the prosecution. It is quite another to affirmatively prove a case. In any event such a verdict would be overturned on the basis of the law of the first amendment as it applies to the media.

  4. The outstanding players for me, apart from Rittenhouse, was the Defence Lead, Mark Richards, and his 2ic, and of course the Judge.

The Judge did an outstanding job, with intelligence and dignity.

The put down of the Prosecutor by Mark Richards was well done too at after verdict news conference. “He wanted to win, and wasnt interested in the truth”

This comment after they had both worked on many cases together in the past. Basically the inference was…. you sold out to become famous.

  5. I wasn’t going to comment on the substance of case, but have decided to do so, not so much about the verdict, but more about the philosophy of the second amendment.

The verdict itself is understandable. If someone points a gun at you at close range, then self defence is an obvious defence. Not so sure about the two who were not armed in the same way. In NZ, a manslaughter conviction would be almost certain in such circumstances.

Which bring me to the second amendment. For many Americans it is an article of faith. It means you can go about in public armed with an AR15. In many states you can have a concealed hand gun. Guns are everywhere, about 200% more on a per capita basis than in NZ, and of course including hand guns. It is not surprising that gun crime is so high in the US. The murder rate is about 5 times higher than in NZ, mostly due to guns. In my view a fair bit of the crime is due to the fact that the US is so heavily armed, with a large variety of firearm types available to huge numbers of citizens. Felons use firearms in vastly more crimes than is the case in all other developed nations. Many of course are probably not allowed firearms, but they are very easy to obtain, legally or otherwise.

In NZ it would be absolutely clear that Rittenhouse would be committing multiple offences, even before analysing the actual shooting. I say that is a good thing. It is surely not desirable for private citizens to be able to effectively conduct what I see as vigilante policing, with open carry of military style weapons in an areas of civil unrest. Leave that to the police.

    • Leave that to the police.

Something Rittenhouse and others would happily have done. The whole point is that the police weren’t there to protect anything or anybody, thanks to being held back by Democrat politicians fearful of accusations of “racism” in the wake of the Blake shooting (also fully justified BTW).

Let’s hope that we can continue to “leave it to the Police” in NZ. The question is how true that will continue to be in the face of recent backdowns with gangs, the Ihumātao protests and other confrontations.

The bigger question then will be to what extent our system is willing to allow people to defend themselves and their property against such mobs? Your answer is that such people defending themselves with firearms will be the ones punished, for the greater good. Acceptable collateral damage if you will.

Your attitude is like that of the Rittenhouse prosecutor: just take the beating, we all take beatings and that doesn’t justify shooting unarmed people.

    • Oh, and this… “vigilante policing”

I should not be surprised when former National Party “Liberal Wing” Wayne Mapp repeats one of the left’s mindless anti-Rittenhouse themes. Rittenhouse took no hostile action against anyone until he was chased by a mob and attacked by three criminals. He didn’t try to arrest anybody or even threaten them when they were starting fires, merely putting them out (which is what attracted Rosenbaum’s attention to him).

I’m surprised I didn’t see “White Supremacy” and “systemic racism” get a look in.

  6. Tom,

Private citizens arriving at a place to patrol the streets with AR 15’s is virtually the very definition of vigilante policing. It is about as stupid as those who think that having open carry demonstrations in MacDonalds is the best way to show fealty to their second amendments rights.

There would be no more than 5 to 10% of New Zealanders who would think otherwise. No sensible New Zealander, whether on the Right or the Left, would endorse the style of citizen policing as conducted by Rittenhouse and so many others in the US. It is not just the Right who do this in the US, so do many from the Hard Left.

Definitely not New Zealand the way I want it, a view that I am certain is held by the great majority of New Zealanders.

They might if they and their properties were abandoned by the Police and left to an Antifa/BLM mob. The odds of that are low in NZ, but I don’t think we should arrogantly puff our chests out about the circumstances in Kenosha and other American cities in 2020, though of course we will.

    • You are an archetypical creature of the Establishment Wayne

In your mind the Government is omnipotent, infallible and benevolent.

      To which I say phooey!

You also think the great unwashed don’t know what is best for them and need to be told what to do for their own good

The real story of Kenosha is that the authorities for political purposes abandoned the poorer part of the city to the mob and the people who had to live with that took steps to protect their city

We were discussing this at lunch yesterday and everyone at the table was surprised to learn that the “victims” of Kyle Rittenhouse were all white men

And that none of them had strong links with Kenosha, unlike Kyle Rittenhouse who did

These riots were allowed to occur with the connivance and perhaps encouragement of the authorities and you should be disgusted at them, not young men who were literally fighting fires lighten by anti-social forces unleashed on the people by corrupt self serving Government officials and the media.
