Kamala Harris and Anticipatory Retaliation

with 5 comments

Long before post-modernism got a chokehold on academia, and thus extending into everyday life, the good old US Department of Defence was on the job of “spinning” concepts to hide their actual meaning.

We should hardly be surprised at that since Orwell wrote of it decades ago and of course he was keying off the communists he observed.

From the Cold War my favourite such spin was the US DOD’s term for a Nuclear First Strike, “Anticipatory Retaliation”.

So it would seem that in the USA, with President Biden’s polling in sub-40% territory and his Vice President, Kamala Harris, in the sub-30% range, the Democrats are having a bit of Anticipatory Pants Shitting as they look ahead to 2024.

Even that is with the MSM carrying Biden’s water on multiple issues. Think where his popularity would be if the MSM went full Trump on him?

The whole idea with Harris was that, since Biden was only a single-term President given his age as well as physical and mental frailty, the Democrats would have a Female Barack Obama to call upon. I don’t know why the DNC (Democrat National Committee) did not lean against Biden’s campaign team as they selected Harris, or perhaps they leaned for her? But surely the DNC knew from her woeful performance in the Democrat primaries that she was voter poison, and god knows that Biden owed them as they finally delivered his first primary wins late in his third run for President, as well as the ultimate job itself.

Harris has of course, continued to follow her primary path by turning into a Black Hillary Clinton, which means she’s dead meat for 2024. Biden has tried to fill this gaping (and growing) hole by yakking about running again, when he’ll be 82 years old. Looking at him now, nobody thinks that’s likely. And so…

The Democrats are considering the nuclear option

Democrats desperately scrambling to find a potential successor to Joe Biden in 2024 are whispering about a potential nuclear option that could see Kamala Harris, the current Vice President, nominated to the Supreme Court.

MUHAHHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

Good grief. I know it’s The Telegraph, one of the slightly more respectable members of the MSM and based outside the cesspool of the US MSM, but this still smells like total bullshit. It would be tempting to dismiss it as MSM nonsense were it not for the fact that Democrat insiders are obviously floating these ideas to reporters and activists.

But the Supreme Court? Come on, Man, that’s crazy talk. She’s not at all qualified, never having been a judge and would likely get shot down in the Senate by her own side, let alone the GOP. But as the article says:

While the scenario is highly improbable, and perhaps a reflection of a Washington rumour mill in overdrive, the fact it has come up at all shows the depths of the predicament the Biden administration currently finds itself in, amid rising inflation, a stalled domestic agenda, and foreign policy disasters.

The Democrats problem is deeper than these two however. Following the last decade of GOP success at the state level, the Democrats increasingly find themselves thin on the bench. This was predicted as they lost Governorships across the USA during Obama’s time. A net total of 13 governorships and 816 state legislative seats were lost, which is the most of any president since Dwight Eisenhower. There was a time when Senators regularly got elected to be President, but since the days of Nixon it’s increasingly been former state governors who win because they have executive experience rather than being able to hide in the snoozing, cosy mass of the stately Senate. One could point to GHW Bush, Obama and Biden as counters to this argument, but Obama was a Senator for only two years (and hated the environment) before running for President (as well as having other pluses of course) while Biden was VP for eight years and had the Not-Trump option as the decisive – I would say the only – factor in his win. GHW Bush was not a Governor but had been head of the CIA and other executive positions; besides, he rode to victory on Reagan’s coat tails.

But right now the Democrats have no such Governor. All of the major ones from places like Illinois, California, New Jersey, Michigan, Washington, Oregon and New York are so embedded within their One Party states that they’re unelectable on a national level, as well being scarred by how they’ve dealt with the Chinese Lung Fluid virus. It’s why Cuomo was the lovefest guy for a while, with talk of 2024, but of course his toxic character was finally outed and he’s gone.

It’s true that he resigned for other reasons but he is now starting to get hammered about his Rest Home actions. Yet how different were the other major Democrat governors?

We’ll see how things develop in the next two years, and who knows….

    • Exactly. Another thing that makes this “improbable”. However there has been a running campaign from the Left to avoid another Ginsburg error.

See! It’s all part of the plan.

  3. Didn’t bother to fact check your meme did you? Not as bad as your own claim that the cfr for seasonal flu is 10 times higher than Covid’s, but almost.

    • No arguments from you as usual, just assertions. You need to explain both.
