Hey Kids! It’s your Covid Jab Day

with 14 comments

I already wrote about the nonsense of vaccinating kids aged less then 12 against the “deadly” C-19 virus, in the post The kids are alright.

That article noted some of the horrendous reporting that has happened on this specific issue via places like the New York Times, where claims of 900,000 kids hospitalised with C-19 since early 2020 were so wrong even that publication had to correct its “facts”.

Scanning Newshub the other day I noticed that the trick is now simply not to mention at all the extraordinarily low numbers of kids getting sick and dying from Chinese Xi Snot virus. Charts like the following from the CDC in the USA will not be seen in our local MSM.

That’s basically the Delta virus at work, but the statistics for Alpha in 2020 were no different for young kids (and young adults).

Such a chart won’t be seen in our MSM for good reason; it might increase “vaccine hesitancy” and the government can’t have that. There’s also this from my previous post:

“Then for other children in the 5-11-year-old age group, you really have to put a high premium on ensuring safety. Because we know that once you’ve excluded that probably 2 or 3 per cent of children with severe other problems, then the rest of the children, the chance of them getting even more than a cold or something they may not even notice, is really very small.”
– Peter McIntyre. Otago University professor of women’s and children’s health,

To be fair that quote actually did come from Stuff.co.nz, which had an entire article on the question of vaccinating kids for C-19. But it’s the only such article I’ve seen, and it’s hard to find even on Stuff unless you have the link.

I wonder how many of those who are vulnerable to the virus, clearly shown in the chart, feel any guilt or shame about this at all? My read is few.

  1. I’ve written in comments on this blog before, about not vaccinating kids, because there is no logic to it, and only potential adverse effects.
It’s notable that no-one defends the idea of jabbing kids.

  2. .This from yesterday.
“Probably not a popular view on this website, which has become a haven to those opposing vaccination as well as mandates.

Playing the old ruling elite trick of branding people as anti-vaxers. FYI I’ve had over my lifetime every vaccine available and all my 6 kids and their kids have also.
The reason being earlier vaccines have been tried and tested in a proper manner so there is confidence there.
I have no confidence in an experimental vaccine rushed though in the manner this one has been.
The above chart shows what a con this has been and I would venture the true damage from this “vaccine” will only become apparent over time.
They say they won’t mandate it for kids but we have heard this before about mandates, which turned out to be lies.

  3. The chart only relates to fatalities. Measles/mumps/rubella/influenza are rarely fatal as well yet are routinely vaccinated against. I see COVID-omicron now as equivalent to influenza. I used to get the seasonal flu jab when it was offered at work and would consider the same for COVID simply to avoid an inconvenient and unpleasant couple of days’ unwellness.

Kids are up to date with MMR but that one lasts for several years.

Mandates and coercion are no longer required.

    • The CDC data shows the same outcomes for hospitalisations too and even getting sick, which is why that Otago professor of child health said that:

“the chance of them getting even more than a cold or something they may not even notice, is really very small.”

The reality is that this virus, in all its variants, has left kids and young people into their 20’s almost entirely alone.

    • John John O, lets follow the science: why would you give a medical treatment to children where the side effects of the treatment are more harmful to children than the sickness you’re trying to prevent?

When you add to that the vaccine is for the Alpha variant and is ineffective against both Delta and Omicron, why would you?

  5. Being the MSM there is no place for a comment in which the chart above might be shown to people reading this article, Covid-19 paediatric vaccine: roll-out begins for children aged 5-11.

Similarly there are no links in that piece either for the assertion:

“I do encourage parents to prepare to have their children vaccinated. We are expecting that some time soon, the Omicron variant is going to burst into New Zealand and that has potential to cause a lot of infections in children.”

That data has recently been examined in an international study, which has challenged the claim Covid-19 is just a mild infection for tamariki and highlighted the benefits of vaccination.

Children have made up 20 percent of the infections in New Zealand’s Delta outbreak, according to numbers from the Ministry of Health, and seven percent of those who required hospital treatment.

Benefits for a virus that has been shown by CDC stats to kill one in 500,000 kids aged 5-14 (0.0002% – 0.0001% each for healthy kids and those with medical conditions) – with most not even showing symptoms of infection, let alone sickness, let alone hospitalisation.

    Oh, and this…

There is no obligation for children to get a vaccine – jab or no jab, they’ll be able to attend school when it resumes in two weeks’ time.

    I’ve heard that line before.

    • “There is no obligation for children to get a vaccine – jab or no jab, they’ll be able to attend school when it resumes in two weeks’ time.”

Actually, that ‘obligation’ is already out there. for example, the Girl Guide policy now states that they must have the vaccine if they are ‘eligible’ for it.

School trips and any sporting events will be for vaxxed only as per how it is for teenagers right now.

    • Tom you are right I fear for my 10yo son. My fear is that one day at his school the scum will turn up and vax him without my permission. They would have no problem doing that and they will do that if it suits their agenda.
These people are pure evil and people like Wayne will cheer from the sidelines.
National by rights should be fighting this There’s no chance they will with people like #ChristopherGetBoostedBishop in their ranks.
What the hell is happening to our country, has everyone gone barking mad?

  6. From a linked RNZ site about “what you need to know for vaccinating your child”…

University of Auckland study author Stuart Dalziel said the findings dispelled the myth children were being vaccinated solely to protect adults.

“If we look at the US, there have 8,700,000 children diagnosed with Covid and of those 747 have died so that means one in 11,000 children who get Covid are likely to die”

What US study is that? There is no link. Does the CDC have the wrong data when it lists 0.0002% children aged 5-14 years of age having died, and that figure being a split between healthy kids and kids with medical problems – and this from the Deadly Delta. That’s not one in 11,000 but one in 500,000.

    • Someone posted the longer version of the video on facebook on the thread, but this is the important part:

5 Kids collapse after the jab today at North Shore Eventfinder Stadium. Instead of calling ambulances, so as not to scare other families off, the vax staff got parents to take their children to hospital. Liz Gunn questions One News on why they won’t report it.

The One News people are saying it’s not their responsibility.

Probably faster to take the kids to hospital directly rather than wait for ambulances. They can be slow.

      • I thought I’d heard the name before and then realised that she’s a former reporter herself. Media friend of mine knew her years ago via TV3, was good friends with her – and now has cut all contact with Liz over this issue.

  8. I tried using my “St Jude” nym the other day but like a complete idiot I used the same IP address that I use for “Judge Holden”.

    Doh!

Anyway, despite being that idiotic I reckon there’s something wrong about Tom’s interpretation of the chart. Unfortunately I’m even worse at Math and hopeless at making an argument so can’t actually demonstrate why I think that’s so.

Anybody like to help me out on this? I’m less than adequate with words but could add some fine abuse if someone can show why Tom’s wrong.
