Go on, give him a cuddle

I don’t recall any of our Angus bulls getting close to 3000 pounds but perhaps some did.
This is one big boy.

Bison Tagging and blood tests for bison. Just to give you an idea of how big they are, this male weighs around 3,000 lbs.#Bison pic.twitter.com/jezUUdeHNk

Sad to think the Bison almost became extinct. Herds of millions originally.

That thing’s bigger and fatter than a Jacinda lie.

As long as that crush is solid I reckon a hug could work. After all, the beastie is already getting a tag through his ear and a needle jammed in him for blood, so how much worse could it be to have human arms around his shaggy head?
Of course I’d ask the guy working on him, since he’d know the limits. 🙂

Yeesh. Even him just turning around slowly with no harm intended could whip you across the room. My farming background meant the only animals allowed inside the house were the cats.

It’d be a rare Angus bull which exceeded 2,000 lbs, they’re not a king-size breed. This bison is a big fella!

The only thing I picked up while working with bovines (mainly young bulls raised from bobby-calves) was their deliberate intent to stand on your feet whenever they could.
I’m not walking anywhere near that big bastard!
