I Am Confused

I am pretty sure that on either Monday or Tuesday morning as I was getting my breakfast conflakes ready just after the 7 o’clock News and Sports bulletin I heard Ashley Bloomfield tell Tim Dower on NewstalkZB that the much vaunted Covid Traffic Light System would need to be modified to cope with Omicron.

Fair enough because in the true fashion of anything done by this government it seems a convoluted half cocked idea that was never likely to work properly anyway.

This afternoon just after 1.15 not long after Prime Minister Ardern began her press (diatribe) conference and in a few earlier News Bulletins she was adamant that the Traffic Light System was fit for purpose and would not need to be changed in any way to cope with Omicron.

Who to believe?

The Prime Minister who seems to have only ever a fleeting brush with the truth.

Or.

The earnest Saint Ashley Bloomfield who appears to have been bypassed for advice and replaced by the Hypocrite Cyclist and Swimmer Siouxie Wiles, the Make It Up As You Go Shaun Hendy, the Get Me In Front Of Any Camera Michael Baker and the Continually Bewildered Looking Rod Jackson.

Time will tell but, my bet is on having to modify/adapt the Traffic Lights which could be out of order for a fair while given this Governments past performances.
