  1. And now this bullshit is delivered by the pallet load.

  2. Nick

Seeing as you asked and much as it pains me to say this, I think, strictly speaking she is correct.

Non binary folk – which I admit I don’t really understand, is something like people who don’t identify as male or female, i.e. they are biologically male or female but they don’t feel like whatever they are. Maybe half of them are female – and therefore can have babies.

Trans men are biological women, some of whom won’t have gone the whole surgery thing, or alternatively have IVF. With medication they can implant and support a fertilised ovum through to birth.

So, (some) binary folk and trans men can have babies.

As for why this situation exists, I’m afraid I cannot help you – the biology and technology is one thing, the psychology, altogether another.

    • Thanks Ben. I have to admit I really struggle with the definitions. I read something in Saturday’s Herald where a homo sapien was described as a “non-binary, transgender, gay man”. I couldn’t figure out what the hell he or she (or they) was or what he or she (or they) preferred.

  4. Why are there no men in the team? That seems terribly exclusionary.

    • This photo is of the Select Committee that was considering the Bill, during that stage of the legislative process.

It must have been a decision by all the parties in parliament, either intentionally or inadvertently, that all the members of the Select Committee would be women. On the right side of the photo are two National MP’s and one Act MP.

      • That’s because males in the political class in New Zealand are capons Dr Mapp. We saw this with Luxon’s lamentable reaction to a US supreme court ruling that puts the responsibility for deciding abortion legislation back on the individual States rather than a federal matter and a matter of zero consequence to New Zealand

Luxon of course grovelled before the sisterhood, pulling the rug out from under one of his MPs in the process and generally made a total arsehole of himself as he reminded us that possesion of a functional penis makes you a second class citizen in 2022

To succeed in the beltway you need to surrender your balls and manhood

      • No surprise National and ACT would go along with this BS. No courage at all.

Andrei is amazing, sometimes amongst all his idiocy he can be on point.
Looking forward to see how he spins the latest Russian atrocity in Ukraine as somehow not the tyrant Putins fault.

      • Why set yourself for unnecessary aggro? It is a sensible decision to have women review a birth matter. Idont have a problem with it.

  5. Yes, Andrei is amazing. Flabbergasting really.

  6. Uummmm…. I think Nick’s question is not about the all-woman committee but the response of one the MP’s to the question about their use of the term “birthing people”.
