While I have pretty much stood back from active blogging I can’t resist reposting this from the Veterans’ Affairs New Zealand (VANZ) website.
Quote … We prioritise applications … The priority for handling the applications we receive is to process those received from living veterans first … unquote.
Does that mean they are receiving applications from dead veterans? Perhaps, just perhaps, there is life after death.
Colleague veterans to note … if you are dead expect a delay in the processing of any application you submit. LOL.
The dead might not mind waiting so long if they received the government’s cost of living payment.
I find the VANZ Website pretty hard to follow. (That might reflect on me as much as VANZ). The priority used to be the terminally ill, which seems fair. They’re very slow payers and decisions often take months, a year or more sometimes, although to their credit when I needed a really urgent decision, for keytruda funding, they came up trumps. But how I wish they’d speed up their processes and communications which are truly awful. Perhaps understaffed?
From what The Vet reports, more likely undereducated.
Maybe demotivated – if that is a word.
