As a teenager on my great uncles’ farm at Pukeatua we called up about a dozen Morepork in the early evening. It was a magical evening with so many of them flying around the back yard.
These days we support the national bird of prey centre in Rotorua. They quite often have adult and baby Moreporks. A great opportunity to see them up close. As well as the falconry displays of course.
