Woke may be a bit harsh Tinman but he sure does not inspire confidence.
He reflects the National Party management, who seem to be either completely clueless or completely in bed with the globalists or a combination of both. IMO, Luxon is just a good manager that keeps the elected politicians happy they are being organised like they were employees of a functioning business. Since they are happy, they think the plebs should be happy as well. Anyone who isn’t happy is not middle NZ and will not be listened to. I think that just about summarises it!

I recall from 13 years ago, in a discussion group, a greenie opining that they had had great hopes for AIDS [I left the group].
Whenever a Green voter opines we’re overpopulated, they seem to miss the linkage to a death cult, one that wants billions of humans dead.
Suspect more than a few vote Green because they love cute puppies, kittens, bunny rabbits, dolphins [rapists] and naked moles. Those who think beyond that are unable to because of years of propaganda.
The scientific methods include a Null Hypothesis. It means if you propose something, it is up to you to prove it, and all arguments, including alternatives, against. If state ‘earth is flat” the Null is “earth is an oblate spheroid”. Collecting gazillions of close up details proving your theory of earth flatness is overwhelmingly negated by wider views.
You can still find on the internet quite a number of disproofs of climate change – human caused disaster.
National’s Luxon has had high praise for James Shaw of the Greens. Luxon is fully on board with the death cult and destruction of Net 0 carbon. He’s instructed his environment spokesperson to work closely with Shaw. This seems going further than focus group telling him National will lose , or not gain votes, if Greenery is not warmly embraced.
ACTNZ Party also sees to have gone over to the dark side and now believe in dangerous climate change. But don’t go for Carbon 0. Go for burdening costs across the whole economy. Former leader Rodney Hide had read into Hansard why golbal warming is wrong. Seems he’s fully outcast.
So, our one planet, Earth, isn’t in dire straits. Recognise any Green voter is a “useful idiot”, even if extremely intelligent otherwise. They have been brainwashed. Very few can be rescued.
