Following a damning admission in public, of a call to the Police Commissioner calling on him “SURELY YOU ARE GOING TO APPEAL THIS” after a Central Otago Farm manager was given 8 months home detention and his fire arms and ammunition involved was ordered destroyed.

Now I posted of the suspicion of nefarious communications between government office holders and Police HQ very recently and here is an actual blatant case of such on Newstalk ZB this morning, and the result is:

“POLICE MINISTER RESIGNS HIS POLICE PORTFOLIO”

In other words he has his workload reduced, he retains his other ministerial roles (including bloody forestry), Walter Nash’s descendent retains every dollar and cent of his salary and perks, and the feckless media want it to be seen as a “punishment” for him?

That one admitted breaking of long standing rules around Government interference in operational matters of the NZ Police that raises such impropriety and malfeasance and he is given a reduced workload?
He was not the Minister of Police at the Time? again “give me a break”, he was a former Police Minister and he was subsequently handed that role again in time to give the task his faltering substandard effort during the fiasco emerging in the Cyclone Gabriel disaster that hammered his electorate?

Poor old Maurice Williamson must be regretting he was not a Minister in the Ardern/CHipkins evolving disastrous administrations? when he made a dodgy call inquiring about the status of a police inquiry on behalf of a constituent.

Stuart Nash should now be languishing in the farthest Back Bencher seat in the Parliament considering his future in politics.
