The Luvvies are still giving support and sympathetic treatment to Baldwin in the extended aftermath of the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on a movie set eighteen months ago.
One of the woke illuminati he was always going to get maximum absolution for what was an act of insane stupidity that saw an innocent talented young woman shot dead.
Recently it was announced Baldwin would not face any charges but Hutchins family are pursuing a lawsuit for damages.
The excuses began almost before Hutchins breathed her last;
He did not know the weapon had a live round in the breech,
It was not his responsibility to check if the weapon was loaded with a round live or blank,
He was practising drawing the weapon.
He did not aim the weapon at Hutchins.
If any blame accrued it would fall on the Set Armourer,
The handgun just fired itself?
Here is how I see it you dopy cretinous wokster:
You never and that means never point any weapon at anyone, cripes I learnt that lesson when I pointed a wooden toy gun at my brother at around age four, the memory accentuated by having the wooden toy broken in half before my blubbering eyes.
Whenever without exception pick up any weapon without ascertaining the weapon is in fact without a round chambered and then point the weapon away preferably aimed at the ground and pull the trigger.
Whenever picking up any weapon it is your, and only your responsibility to ensure the weapon is safe.
Even if an assurance a weapon is safe it is still the responsibility of anyone even a big star such as you likely assume you are, to carry out the steps above every time.
Guns do not kill people only people deficient in basic rules will kill another human in an accident.
One might consider the wokerati who inhabit the wondrous world where Movies are made, might be aware of the awful outcome that befell the unfortunate Ms Hutchins, in fact I will go further, if overruling the second amendment is so important to the Hollywood Luvies would it be so difficult for total idiots such as Baldwin to eschew any involvement in a make believe world of weapons.
Apparently not, they just love playing games where they act out a fantasy of being “A Man With A Gun??”
They will get him withbthe civil suits.
Often where justice is done in the US.
GD, how the fuck do you make a shoot-em-up western without aiming a gun at someone else?
I have no time for Baldwin (politically) but your post is utter crap.
Baldwin was given a gun, on set, by the production’s armourer and assured it went bang (only).
When it went bang, unfortunately, it also fired a bullet. As a producer maybe Baldwin had some responsibility but only as a technicality. He certainly had the right to expect the gun was harmless on the set.
That the charges have been dropped is common sense – are the Seppos the only people practicing this in 2023?
Sorry MTT, GD is absolutely correct. If you are handed a firearm it is your responsibility to check it, regardless of what you’ve been told about it. It shouldn’t take someone’s death to prove that.
Paranormal, that is not my question.
Three things should always be assumed:
A gun is loaded
A prop is live
A horse will kick
Mr Tinman, I may be wrong but I believe he was practising his “draw”, not acting out a fantasy?
I have no doubt whatever the dopy prick aimed a gun he had not made certain himself, was safe, at a cinematographer and she is dead.
You are welcome to your opinion as always but in direct conflict with a growing level of understanding guns kill, they need to be presented, aimed and fired, that is where I may remain an outlier, my training says otherwise.
I read a couple of weeks ago that Baldwin’s father was involved with firearms training as a job.
Can’t remember the details.
So a double definite that the stupid bastard should have known to check the handgun.
GD, when you hire an expert (in this case an armourer) you expect that expert to do their job.
Far more deadly than any gun is that piece of machinery in your garage. Do you check all lights including brake lights and then do a full brake check (let alone suspension and hydraulic hoses check) every time before you use the vehicle.
Of course you don’t, you rely on your mechanic and the WoF issuer to have checked those items for you and ensured they are safe to use.
Your training is correct for your situation and Baldwin probably should have done some checking but the analogy holds; he had the right to expect accuracy from the expert and it is only his politics and profession (and that he is a crap actor) that has made this issue even slightly controversial.
The authorities dropping the charges was the correct decision.
I make no comment about the civil action.
