Why do people not learn? Why do they do this to themselves?

Despite the following, glowing recommendation from another anarchist, after a year in business operation, Toronto’s ‘Anti-Capitalist Cafe’ has gone broke will shut down on May 30.

Better hurry up and get there folks, for a warm dose of coffee and a hot dose of class hatred. And who knows, if enough people pay money, it might even survive a bit longer.

BTW, I’m not kidding about the heated class hatred, as you’ll see when reading the quote below the promotional Tweet.

 “Gabriel a.k.a The Anarchist,” that is, owner Gabriel Sims-Fewer, the capitalist owner of the anti-capitalist café, wrote that it had been “an amazing experience” running the café, “raising the blood pressure of Conservatives (that includes you, ‘anarcho-capitalists’ and ‘Libertarians’), fulfilling the dream of most service workers by not having to tolerate the presence of professional class-traitors (pigs and military), and experimenting with living and working in ways that don’t enthusiastically embrace the pure misanthropy of Capitalism.”

Gosh, if only Sims-Fewer lived in a society where people would have had no choice but to go to his grim, unpleasant, little cafe, then it could have all worked. His sign-off is also a beaut:

“Fuck the rich. Fuck the police. Fuck the state. Fuck the colonial death camp we call ‘Canada.’”

Oh well, back to Antifa and punching Nazis.
