Among American Democrat politicians that is.

In case you think the Babylon Bee was going too far with the image above, photoshopping and all that, here’s the actual image of Senator Feinstein as she returned to the Senate after months away.

Despite disagreeing with her on some of her policies and political ideas, Feinstein earned a grudging respect from me because she stood up to the nuttiest and most Far Left demands of her California comrades, especially when it came to foreign policy.

But this is too much. This is fucking elder abuse. And it gets worse:

Then her response was concerning — she appeared not to understand that she had been away.
“What have I heard about what?” she asked.
“About your return,” another reporter inquired.
“No, I haven’t been gone,” Feinstein said. “You should follow the — I haven’t been gone. I’ve been working.”

When asked if she meant that she’d been working from home, she responded, “No, I’ve been here. I’ve been voting. Please. You either know or don’t know.”

Feinstein was then wheeled off in a wheelchair.

Holy hell. Have her staff been lying to her about where she is every day? It seems entirely possible in light of reports that she’s had problems for years now that have been covered up, which means her staff have been doing all her work for her. That news comes from leftist rag The Rolling Stone, and while I normally wouldn’t rate them for a link because they’ve been caught in so many lies in recent years, and it’s clear from this that they’ve sided with Democrats who want her out now, it does explain a lot of things about her that had been unanswered:

Multiple sources tell Rolling Stone that in recent years Feinstein’s office had an on-call system — unbeknownst to Feinstein herself — to prevent the senator from ever walking around the Capitol on her own. At any given moment there was a staff member ready to jump up and stroll alongside the senator if she left her office, worried about what she’d say to reporters if left unsupervised. The system has been in place for years.

“They will not let her leave by herself, but she doesn’t even know it,” says Jamarcus Purley, a former staffer.

Senators juggle a heavy schedule of votes, hearings and meetings on a wide range of subjects. Momentary lapses and mixups about a topic are far from unheard of. But over the last several years, interviews with Feinstein devolved into confusion on a near-daily basis. A familiar pattern would emerge: Feinstein would make an unexpected stance on a bill or policy position, only for her staff to quickly follow up by email to correct the record. It got to the point where reporters would pause before rushing to publish an otherwise-newsworthy declaration because of the inevitability of staff reversing her statement.

So the US MSM were in on the coverup. This is my shocked face. Not all of them of course, this latest Rolling Stone stuff ties in with what was reported last year:

In April of last year, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that some of Feinstein’s colleagues had begun to question her ability to fulfill the duties of her office, bringing new scrutiny to the senator. But as her health struggles played out in public, behind the scenes, staff tried to uphold the illusion of a normal, functional office while she displayed clear signs of cognitive decline.

On the other side from The Rolling Stone is Nancy Pelosi and TPTB of the Democrat Party who are determined to keep her in place through to her retirement in 2024 so they can replace her with someone of their choosing. In this case apparently the worthless, proven liar of Trump-Russia collusion fame, Adam Schiff, who has amassed a $15 million war chest to escape from his House seat to something more prominent and prosperous in the Senate. With that sort of money, name recognition and party elder backing he should win.

But not if Feinstein goes now. If that happens Governor Newsom will have to appoint a temporary replacement and he has stated it would a Black Female, who would thus become a tougher prospect to beat in the Democrat primary race. To that end Pelosi is pulling every shameless, exploitive string she can:

The staff are playing along because it means plum jobs later on.

But it’s not just Feinstein. Here’s the new Senator from Pennsylvania, fresh of his weeks of hospital treatment for clinical depression and obviously still not improving from the stroke he suffered last year.

You won’t be surprised to learn that the Far Left group Occupy Democrats, praised this as a “star-making turn”. You aslo wont’ be surprised that a Washington Post journalist produced a “quote” on his Twitter account of what Fetterman tried to say that had been cleaned up and edited by the Senator’s office to make coherent.

Okay, the journo did withdraw that quote and apologised for not having checked it against the video, but I’d have thought that a “reporter” would have done that at the start rather than just relying on whatever the Senator’s staff produce.

Fetterman is relatively young and not senile, so judging by the performance of the Feinstein staff, Fetterman’s people can probably keep him set up to rubber stamp Democrat policies for decades to come – unless depression hits him again as he realises that he’s just a puppet, or until they find someone better to fill the seat.

And of course they all have to look up to their leader, “President” Joe Biden, whose staff have set the standard in modern care of elderly senile dementia patients:

The oldest-ever US president looked confused as first lady Jill Biden led him by the hand to meet his Japanese counterpart and his wife for a photo op in Hiroshima ahead of the Group of Seven summit there.

After shaking Kishida’s hand, Biden, 80, turned his attention to the prime minister’s 58-year-old wife, Fumio Kishida — bizarrely bending over with clenched fists, as if in a boxer’s pose, before also shaking her hand.

Not just a pose: he actually pawed the air with those clenched fists in yet another WTF is he doing display. The embedded videos are also painful to watch. The good news is that despite four years of MSM gaslighting he’s getting so bad that even those gaslit voters are noticing as the news breaks through the MSM walled garden via Internet videos that they cannot censor:

What is noteworthy is that everyone is on the lookout for signs of mental and physical decline. The idea that Biden is too old and too mentally and physically degraded to be president has taken hold. Poll data suggest that most people think Biden is not up to the job of being president, and of course they are right. With Americans’ eyes on Biden, every stumble is magnified.

The Powerline guys make this fundamental point, but while they’re specifically talking about Biden it’s something that’s beginning to pop up all over the Democrat Party thanks to their ever-increasing reliance on One Party locations like California, Oregon, Illinois and such, and having the MSM cover for them – the production of imbeciles:

Biden can’t overcome this fatal perception. He can’t get younger, smarter, or more physically vigorous. Voters’ conviction of his inadequacy will only grow. Hence the Democrats’ desperation: they can hardly trot Biden out again in 2024; in fact, they can’t count on him to last that long. But they don’t have anyone else.

Of course none of this may matter if the GOP cannot match the Democrat machines in those key swing states in 2024. We could see Biden re-elected.
