Are there any of Biden’s defenders left who are still willing to argue that he’s firing on more than one cylinder – or that he’s a decent man?

I ask because – in the wake of the terrible wildfires in Hawaii, with an entire town wiped out, 93 people dead and more bodies undoubtedly to be found – “President” Biden was asked by the press to comment on the situation. This is what they got.

AYFKM? This is the softest of all soft inquiries to be made of any President. Any other president could simply express sorrow and compassion for the people involved in the tragedy and say that the Federal government, at his direction, is doing everything it can to help.

That’s it. That’s all that’s needed.

Instead we get “No comment”, followed by a weird and goofy grin that’s completely inappropriate. Why it’s as if he had no idea what he was being asked or no clue about the situation at all – he is on vacation so perhaps his staff missed a spot and didn’t brief him about an awful event happening in the nation he “leads”. But he’s been on vacation for more than 30% of his presidency (not a typo -365 days to August 5th, 2023) so they should be better at this by now.

Of course his staff includes his press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who is also so stupid that she yesterday revealed herself as one of the masterminds behind the Biden Twitter account.

Ok. So everybody knew that Biden doesn’t do his own Tweets – but his staff is not supposed to be so foolish as to make that obvious. They’re supposed to be keeping up appearances about their wards.

At what point is there a serious conversation about how terrible of a comms director Karine Jean-Pierre is? Her professional foibles during briefings have been well-documented, and now she can’t even keep her social media accounts straight, leading to the exposure of the president. I’d ask when she finally loses her job, but it seems like she’s got pretty thick plot armor given all her intersectional claims. 

Oh bugger that. When is there going to be a serious conversation about the puppet currently pretending to be the Ambulatory Root Vegetable in Chief of the USA?

What happened yesterday cannot be explained away as anything other than Biden being so non compos mentis that he can’t handle any question about even the simplest things without his staff prepping him with those detailed “note” cards that he reads verbatim or the giant teleprompter he squints to mis-read, as well as also being unable to even call up the appropriate emotion for the situation at hand.

That’s senile dementia to a T. Most of us have seen it in relatives and we’re seeing it with Joe Biden.
