With three weeks gone since voting day and a new coalition Government (hopefully) being sorted out under the leadership of Prime Minister Elect Christopher Luxon New Zealand is in a state of limbo.

A condition recognised by the following who have individually and in what at first look appears to be an uncoordinated way (so far) started to incite racial violence and uprisings in New Zealand. Either in protest at a possible referendum on the SO CALLED principles of the Treaty of Waitangi or by supporting Hamas terrorists at protest rallies.

The following perpetrators are listed in no particular order, by party, personal egos or even timing of their alleged and mostly televised or published actions. Suffice to say all are since the 15 October 2023.

James Shaw

John Tamihere

Marama Davidson – twice I have seen or heard.

Willie Jackson – at least twice including on Q & A.

Debbie Ngarewa-Packer

Chloe Swarbrick

No doubt there are others I have missed but the point of this post is this – who is holding these people to account.

Dealing to those inciting possible future racial violence is surely the responsibility of the Race Relations Commissioner but, when I looked the useless Meng Foon does not appear to have been replaced. Human Rights Commissioner the equally useless Paul Hunt has apparently made a soft soap comment which I have read about but not seen.

What about Police Commissioner Andrew Coster? Well he must be in hiding from Mark Mitchell because I have not seen or heard any public comment on the matter from him.

My final thought on this is – are the above and others like them, individual opportunists taking advantage of the vacuum that is inevitable after an MMP election or is there something more sinister at foot and these people are being organised to speak out?

UPDATE 1:

Tau Henare – packs a sad when Maori Wards were voted down in Auckland and vows to vote against any new Council Business proposed by Councillors who voted down Maori Wards.

UPDATE 2.

Chris Hipkins – endorses what Willie Jackson said about civil unrest in an interview with Mike Hoskings at about 7.35am this morning (8/11). Does this make it official Labour policy?
