Andrew Hastie, Liberal Party federal MP in Australia does not mince words in response to Australia’s vote for a ‘ceasefire’ in the UN. NZ (and most other countries) joined Australia in asking Israel to stop fighting Hamas for a bit.

Andrew knows a thing or two about standing up to evil and being prepared to fight for what is morally right. He has been there and done that with the Aus SAS in Afghanistan (yes, yes, I know the irony of equating Aus SAS and morality, but remember he testified in court against the VC-winning alleged war criminal).

I am far from being a one-sided supporter of Israel. They are responsible for many horrific things. But they are not responsible for the awful, heinous evil acts of Hamas slaughtering, raping and capturing innocent civilians on 7th of October. I don’t see what choice Israel has other than to invade Gaza, rescue the hostages, and somehow defeat Hamas.

Standing up to evil requires strength, and it is going to be messy and nasty. Asking Israel to pause for a bit will only benefit one side in this struggle.

An interesting article on this from the UK is from retired Colonel Richard Kemp, laying into former UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace and his idiotic calls for Israel to defeat Hamas but not the way they are doing it now:
