I’ve made no effort to disguise my low opinion of the whole “fact checking” industry that has sprung up in recent years, pointing out that it has coincided with the collapse in trust in traditional MSM journalism and that it is merely another way of gaslighting the public into restoring that trust with the same people, since the “fact checkers” are the same people.

As that effort has slowly failed it’s been replaced by more gaslighting as these clowns renamed themselves as “Misinformation Experts”. As always I asked the question: what makes them “experts”, but aside from that I was suspicious of their ideological/political leanings, given their origins, and now appears a study that shows I was correct to be suspicious:

Experts leaned strongly toward the left of the political spectrum: very right-wing (0), fairly right-wing (0), slightly right-of-center (7), center (15), slightly left-of-center (43), fairly left-wing (62), very left-wing (21).

Well at least they had some actual STEM people in there, not that they’re immune from ideological & political leanings, as the percentage of right-wingers even in those areas has declined over the years.

But come on. They’re all Left-wing. The modal “disinformation expert” classifies himself as “fairly left-wing,” and 85% of them classify themselves as at least somewhat left-wing.

You could make an effort of good will and admit that one can be left-wing and honest, but good will is increasingly in short supply and too many people on the Right have been burned when they’ve extended it and talked about bi-partisanship, not to mention what we’ve seen with our own eyes from these assholes over recent years.
