Hosking went after Radio New Zealand this morning and it was bad.
The Mike Hosking Breakfast, 0600 till 0900 has three producer/support staff, Radio NZ Morning report has 16 production staff to cover the same five day time slot, yet the state run highly subsidised show falls way behind in ratings..

That 16 figure for production staff is one higher than the quoted figure for last year.

So get this, a Private enterprise morning show with one host/presenter needing no taxpayer funding has double the ratings over a state funded co-hosted show at what cost I wonder.

Moronic commentators claim State run business has advantages, sure it does but not any sort of advantages Taxpayers might see as advantages, apart from those extra bakers dozen production staff and the extra host.

Hello anyone there to listen? probably not, however it was good to hear it as one of the claimed over 200 000 who are said to be listeners of the Hosking Breakfast offering, while Red Radio languishes below half those numbers
