The only way this ends even semi-well is if former Presidents Clinton and Obama, plus Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and the current House Democrat Leader, Hakeem Jeffries, sit down in the Oval Office and persuade Joe that it’s time to do what’s right for the Democrat Party. In the leadup to this debate I did not accept the garbage takes of those utter morons who claimed he was fine on the basis of the State Of The Union speech earlier this year; Adderall and company, plus having a teleprompter to scream at for 90 minutes, is one thing. A debate without notes is quite another.

But I did not expect Biden to be as awful as he was, and on the Right, despite our months and years of spreading “biased disinformation” about his rotten old brain, I was obviously not the only one.

It raises not one, but two questions about Biden:

  • Getting him to stand down for the election.
  • Getting him to resign as President.

Getting him to stand down from the election.

While the Right’s reaction was to kick back in schadenfreudelicious comfort at the spectacle, (including the huge hit to an already dying MSM), the Democrats hit the panic button and started asking the question of whether it’s time to dump Joe (and they dragged their MSM friends into the panic).

But there were a few Liberals who looked around coldly at these panicking assholes and asked the obvious question. People like Ann Althouse. She is a very Liberal retired law professor who has voted almost entirely for Democrats her entire life, including Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for President. She may have voted for Bush in 2004 and did not vote at all in 2020 out of disgust with what was on offer. And now on her long-running blog she demands the following:

I want the names of everyone who is covering their ass by acting surprised that Biden performed the way he did at the debate last night.

In the last few weeks we’ve been scolded about believing our own eyes, told what we were seeing were “cheap fakes.” These were people using Biden for their own concerted purposes, and now they’d like to drop him. They would have Weekend-at-Bernied him over the finish line if they could, but it seems they decided to wheel him out in public on one big occasion, let us watch him for 90 horrible minutes, and then act as if they suddenly realized this man can’t do the job.

That would be a long list, and while I covered the MSM in a previous post, the list of Democrat Party politicians and activists is longer. But at the top of that list is this sucubus:

And that hideous moment came after the previous horrific moment where she had to walk on to the debate stage to help Joe off it, guiding him as he gingerly crab-walked his way down a small set of very shallow stairs on the stage. She then treated him like a toddler, complete with the sing-song voice. If you’ve ever needed proof that Jill Biden is the reason Joe decided to seek a second term and why he won’t drop out, this is it. She’s calling the shots and so while many Democrats are now openly worried in public about Biden and want him to drop out, the real struggle will be convincing her.

If humans were entirely rational that would not be a problem, and when you’ve got Democrat Party activists and camp followers like these beating the stand-down drum, it should be easy.

CNN went even further, grilling none other than the hopeless VP, Kamala Harris, in ways she cannot have been expecting:

Your campaign wanted and pushed for this debate at this moment. You can’t honestly say that you are not concerned at all after watching the President’s performance tonight?

Harris didn’t try to push back very hard, although whether that’s because she sees her chance to grab the brass ring or because she’s useless, is a tough call. But other Democrats were blunt, if off-the-record:

Crestfallen by the president’s weak voice, pallid appearance and meandering answers, numerous Democratic officials said Biden’s bet on an early debate to rebut unceasing questions about his age had not only backfired but done damage that may prove irreversible. The president had, in the first 30 minutes of the debate, fully affirmed doubts about his fitness.

Although there were on-the-record Democrats, albeit retired, like former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.):

Joe Biden had one thing he had to do tonight and he didn’t do it. He had one thing he had to accomplish, and that was reassure America that he was up to the job at his age. And he failed at that.

And then there’s the donors:

Another adviser said they had “taken no less than half a dozen key donors texting ‘disaster’ and [the] party needs to do something,” but acknowledged that “not much is possible unless” Biden steps aside….One major Democratic donor and Biden supporter said it was time for the president to end his campaign. This person described Biden’s night as “the worst performance in history…Biden needs to drop out. No question about it,” the donor said in a text message…

The many clips I’ve now seen, including those from Lefty sources, lead me to agree with that last. Even just focusing only on past Presidential debate flubs shows nothing as awful as Biden – and his horror show added up to dozens of flubs.

Then there’s the voters (via pollster Frank Lunz):

After the first commercial break, I asked my focus group of undecided voters how many of them are more convinced to vote for Joe Biden. Zero raised their hands. Half of them say they voted for Biden in 2020.

Ok, so voters immediate reactions should not always be trusted (and Luntz has a history of bad hot takes). But I can’t see a positive take solidifying among them a week from now. If anything they – and especially Democrats who voted for Biden in the primaries – may become as disgusted as Althouse is at being lied to for several years by the DNC-MSM complex.

But what can be done? Can he be replaced?

There’s really only one way. He has to announce, LBJ style, that he’s not running.

Nothing else will work. There is no mechanism where party leaders can boot him; the smoke-filled rooms that slotted Hubert Humphrey into LBJ’s place – even though Humphrey hadn’t run in any primary – no longer exist. Also, the so-called Super-Delegates that enabled Hillary in 2016 have been stripped of their power since then. Biden has 95% of the 4,000 delegates from this year’s primaries, who are pledged to back him. That’s not the same as being committed to vote for him, but even so, there’s no legal requirement for them to vote for Biden. Still, any challenge during the Democrat convention in Chicago (heh, heh, heh) would mean a massive brawl.

This guy thinks that there’s a play that could be pulled after the convention:

[T]here’s a provision allowing the DNC to replace the nominee for President or Vice President after the convention occurs in the event of “death, resignation, or disability of a nominee.” 

Yeah, yeah. There’s no definition of the “disability” or who gets to make that determination. And there would still be a massive brawl between VP Kamala Harris, Governor Hair Gel (California’s Gavin Newsom), Governor Gretchen Whitmer (MI) and Governor JB Pritzker (IL) as the most likely contenders. Also Biden would have to be part of that, persuading his delegates along with those contenders – and this when the credibility of his team and the MSM that covered up his frailties are totally shot.

Newsom seems to be the one most talked about and given how hopeless and unpopular Harris is to the Black and Female factions of the Democrats, they might be willing to accept a White, Cis-Gendered Male, especially if it means victory. And a Newsom-Harris team can’t work because you can’t have a President and VP from the same state. I’d like to think that if push comes to shove, Nancy Pelosi, still the heavyweight of the Democrat Party and long-time queen of backroom California and San Francisco politics and thus surely the possessor of information about Kamala, could step in with some advice for her – likely along the carrot / stick lines of “We’ll take care of you, but you have to step down – NOW / you’ve got a nice little career going and it would a real shame if something happened to it“.

BTW, just to add to the pressure, the Democrats fucked up on their schedule with Ohio, whose law requires the party’s candidates to be determined by Aug. 7 if they’re to be on the general election ballot – and the convention doesn’t happen until Aug 19-22. So the DNC has already decided to hold a virtual set of meetings on July 11th, and another one a couple days later, in order to conduct a voice vote and formally nominate Joe Biden. The strange thing is that they’re going to do this even though the Ohio state government just passed a new law to let the Democrats escape – and signed by a GOP Governor FFS.

And of course if he announces he’s not running it won’t be like Truman in 1952 or LBJ, which was all about their unpopularity; people will now know that it’s because he’s not capable of being President. Which immediately leads into the next question.

Getting him to resign as President.

Aside from the purely domestic concerns of the Democrat Party as to whether he can win and whether he should be replaced, are the wider concerns round the world that Biden will be the President for another 7 months!!! Screw the Democrat Party and their petty, selfish bullshit around an election: the rest of the world – at least the Western world – should be shitting bricks about the mental and physical state of this US “Commander In Chief”. That is the immediate emergency.

Ever since he became President I’ve tagged him in these posts as “President” Biden, based on my assertion that he really wasn’t POTUS in any real sense of the term, and that it’s likely Jill Biden running the show, although she’s assisted by a staff of mainly Obama people. His flip-flops you see on various issues simply reflect which faction gained control of him at the time. He has a great team around him.

What must Xi Jinping, Putin, Kim Jong-Un, Ali Khamenei and a host of lessor assholes be thinking as they watch “President” Biden? JinPing surely must be wondering if he can gamble an invasion of Taiwan before Jan 20, 2025, although I don’t think his military is quite there yet.

So this cannot continue. But several years ago I looked at the possibilities of pushing him out via the 25th Amendment and it turns out not to be easy, even if Harris had more fire in her blood to match her sleazy ambition.
