“He fooled a lot of Minnesotans in the last two elections, we can’t let him fool the rest of the country”
That’s a quote from a lifelong Minnesotan in an article in The Daily Wire by reporters who actually went into the state of Minnesota of which Tim Walz has been Governor since 2018 to find out what things have been like under his leadership. Actually the title is also a quote about Walz – but from the MSM.
The bottom line is that life in that state has not been good, especially since 2020 when the George Floyd riots and Covid-19 allowed Walz and the Democrat Farmer Labour Party that rules the state to unleash their worst instincts. Regular readers of the famous Powerline blog will not be surprised by any of this since its two primary bloggers live in the state and have tracked Walz closely over these times. But of course he was unknown to the large majority of American voters, and as the Daily Wire explains, the MSM was eager to tell them of this wunderkind:
Within hours of the selection, the legacy media began the task of explaining to the American people how the man they’d scarcely mentioned on their airwaves was actually one of the country’s preeminent Democratic leaders. Viewers were bombarded with breathless coverage of “Coach” Walz’s “Big Dad Energy.” There were also glowing reports of the progressive utopia he’d built for Minnesotans.
So instead of reading those Powerline articles here’s the set of four videos, each five minutes long, done by TDW, in conjunction with a new upstart in Minnesota media, Alpha News, which I first covered in a post here in 2022, and the latter’s primary reporter, Liz Collin, who was an Emmy award-winning reporter and anchor on Minneapolis TV station WCCO-TV (CBS) before getting cancelled by the BLM mobs. As she says in the following video documentary:
“He’s being sold as this moderate ‘aw-shucks’ guy who will give us some dad jokes. But there’s never been a more radical governor — ever — in Minnesota history,…”
The riots damaged or destroyed more than 1,500 properties and caused $500 million in damage to the Twin Cities and went on for more than three days and nights before Governor Walz finally deployed the National Guard. The Minneapolis Police force is down about 40% from where it was at the beginning of May of 2020.
It’s no surprise that crime went up, and that, plus the lockdown fanaticism of Walz and his Democrats, have essentially destroyed the businesses in the CBD, and further afield as well.
Add in the homeless encampments. As you can imagine, the police aren’t helpful in moving them on.
In case you were not aware there was a substantial defrauding of the Minnesota state government on Walz’s watch, with at least $US 250 million being ripped off from taxpayers via a Fnon-profit called Feeding Our Future, which claimed it was feeding desperate little kids, but which simply faked thousands of them using things like a random name generator.
But this was no ordinary fraud, because even though it involved the usual grift of buying homes and cars it involved something worse, since it was run by a number of Somali immigrants:
“The largest single funder of Al-Shabab, the terrorist organization in Somalia, are the Minnesota taxpayers,…The money that is taken in that fraud doesn’t stay here. Millions of dollars per month in cash are sent out the Minneapolis airport”
They don’t cover education in those videos but Powerline does, looking at the guy Walz appointed to head up a restructuring of “K-12 education” (meaning Year 0-12 in NZ terms) in Minnesota, Brian Lozenski, who has ideas like the following:
The first tenet of critical race theory is that the United States as constructed is irreversibly racist. So if the nation-state as constructed is irreversibly racist, then it must be done with, it must be overthrown, right…You can’t be a critical race theorist and be pro-U.S. Okay, it is an anti-state theory that says, the United States needs to be deconstructed, period.
It seems extraordinary that the Democrat Party could not only nominate for President the perfect representative of a state that is an ever-worsening disaster zone – California – but that she would select for her VP nominee a man who has so badly damaged another great state with exactly the same ideas on business, regulation, taxation, government spending, law and order and education – as well as showing us exactly what modern Democrats are like when they get their hands on absolute power.
But perhaps I should not be so scathing; it’s perhaps a mark of the confidence the Democrat Party has now that they may be on the verge of winning all these arguments and imposing them across the USA that they nominated these two creatures.
