First up is yet another billionaire supporting Trump, Bill Ackman and he lists 33 reasons for doing so on his X-account, with this intro:
A number of my good friends and family have been surprised about my decision to support Donald Trump for president. They have been surprised because my political giving history has been mostly to Democrats, my voting registration has typically been Democrat (in NY, you must be registered to the party in order to vote in the primary, and usually the Republican candidate has no chance to win), and many of our philanthropic initiatives have supported issues that are consistent with Democratic priorities.
Here’s a categorised, summarised list of them and you can hit the link to see his reasoning behind each one.
| 1 | Open Borders. |
| 2 | Massive spending. (TBF I can’t see Trump or the GOP fixing this) |
| 3 | The catastrophic Afghanistan withdrawal |
| 4 | Excessive regulation |
| 5, 6, 10, 16, 29 | Crime and protests/riots destroying small business, Defund The Police, useless Secret Service |
| 7 | Fracking |
| 8, 9 | DEI and gender fluidity teaching in schools |
| 11, 12, 20, 21, 22, 23, 28 | Anti-Americanism, Jew hatred, ignoring US hostages held by Hamas, holding back weapons from Israel, enabling Iran via oil and cash, removing terrorist groups from State Dept. terrorist list, teaching US kids that they can’t achieve the American dream, |
| 13, 25, 26, 27 | Vaccine mandates, deteriorating health of US citizens via FDA, new vaccines not properly tested, pharma industry exemption from liability over vaccines, |
| 14, 15, 30, 33 | Free speech shutdown, lawfare on politicians, litigating to stop candidates from getting on the ballot, litigating to prevent states checking voter ID, residence, citizenship |
| 17, 18, 19 | Government subsidies and mandates on cars |
| 24, 31, 32 | Lying about Biden’s cognitive problems, Democrat nominee selected via backroom processes, the undemocratic selection of “an inferior candidate” |
Next up is famous poll analyser Nate Silver with 24 reasons why Trump could win. Herewith some of those listed as above (meaning click on the link for his reasoning):
| 1 | Electoral College favours GOP by 2%. |
| 2, 3, 9 | Inflation, Economic growth hasn’t caught up to people’s wages and salaries, people remember Trump’s better economy pre-Covid, |
| 4 | Incumbent parties in trouble worldwide |
| 5 | Populism works, especially when your opponents think you “deplorable” |
| 6 | Illegal immigration |
| 7, 12, 13, 14, 16, 24 | Harris far to the Left in 2019 and no explanation as to her shift back, Biden age defence “neuters” that argument on Trump, late start for Harris and got staff from “poorly-run Biden campaign”, “first woman president” vs Hillary 2016 loss, Trump has “traits of a classic con man” (Or see point #9), Harris running on vibes with no vision. |
| 8, 10, 11, 17, 21, 22, 23 | “Cultural vibes” shifting Right, Democrats losing Blacks and Hispanics, also losing men, Dem’s college educated class don’t know how to appeal outside their group, RFK Jnr endorsing Trump, Elon Musk endorsing Trump (“permission structure”), the assassination attempts on Trump |
| 15, 18 | MSM trust continues to fall so Trump attacks from then are failing, e.g. Jan 6 and “threat to democracy” while attacking SCOTUS & Electoral College. |
| 19, 20 | World more unstable under Biden than under Trump, Democrat Party split due to Israel-Hamas war. |
This is very interesting. Jeff Bezos calling out staff at Washington Post for not being impartial

Maybe the beginning of the end or it might just be a false dawn.
Yeah, I’m about to cover that in a post on the MSM. Haven’t slammed them in a while. 🙂
But I think it’s too late for them.
