Generation X also has been called the “baby bust” generation, because its members were born when the high birth rates of the baby boomer decades declined (attributed in part to the introduction of the birth control pill, which first went on the market in the early 1960s). It has fewer members than the baby boomer generation that precedes it and the Gen Y and Gen Z (meaning those born during the late 1990s and early 2000s) generations that follow it. This is one of the reasons that Generation X is considered to be forgotten or overlooked when generations are discussed.

Apparently Gen-X voted for Trump in higher proportions than any other age demographic.

But before we get into the reasons why let’s enjoy a 1990’s classic applied in a new way…
And for the haters, let’s acknowledge up-front that “Jump Around” was made by three White dudes.
As to the reasons why Gen-X majority voted for Trump, read here and here, but I think it’s summed up best with this:
Reason #1: “We just wanted to be left alone, but they had to piss us off completely.”
We grew up not caring about Boy George wearing a dress. Who you slept with. What color you are. And then the whole progressive machinery spent the last decade calling us racist, sexist Nazis. … Enough is enough.
I think we’re going to have to re-define all these generations by something other than the range of years in which a person is born. For example Gen-X are those born between 1965-1980, but I think a better way of defining a generation is by dating the culture of their coming-of-age. For Boomers that has to the late 1950’s-mid-70’s. For Gen-X it’s the 1980’s-1990’s.
If your young memories are of the Vietnam War, “Rugby, Racing and Beer”, Hippies, Woodstock, 60’s-70’s music and movies, “Free Love” or the Moon landing then you’re a Boomer – with shades on either side (look how many of the most celebrated Boomer musicians were born before the supposed Boomer start date of 1945).
If your memories are Disco turning into Punk and then the New Romantics then Rap and other 80’s-90’s music and movies, President Reagan, Rogernomics, Big Hair, AIDS, and President Clinton then you’re a Gen-X.
And finally, because this is direct-into-my-veins stuff, here’s more Lefty tears.
Trump has even fixed Christmas and so quickly.

It’s a little too little too late AFAIC. I will never set foot in Woke Walmart (as this household calls it) ever again.
Well… y’know… Rage Against the Machine kept rapping to us GenXers about how you couldn’t trust the FBI, and they were corrupt, and they murdered people who got in their way… and we believed them, and voted for Trump so we could stop that shit.
“How long? Not long! ‘Cause what you reap is what you sow!”
