Oh dear, it seems that having Hollywood luvvies threatening to depart the US when the Republicans win a Presidential election is no longer enough.
Nope, now there are some Democrats advocating that entire states leave the Union:

The last time the Democrat-controlled states tried to secede it didn’t end well for them. History, schmistory.
Having said that, the rest of the USA might not object quite so much this time, given that the rest of the nation is now well aware of how little the denizens of those NE states seem to like their own country, its institutions, and the Deplorables they have to share it all with.
So how about this proposal. The USA lets go the four communist controlled states that this hideous creature (seriously, hit the link to see her photo) fantasises would break away – in exchange for the Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan?
I’d be willing to bet that the citizens of those provinces would escape the controlling insanity of Castreau’s Canada and join the US in a heartbeat.

So the Senator is advocating taking 4 States out of the US economy… ok so what would be the response of the industries in those States?
I would expect that the Financial Services industry would decamp to New Jersey completely – parts of it have moved already due to NYC taxes…
And then those 4 States would have the rest of their industry sitting behind a tariff wall for access to the most desired market in the world i.e. the USA…. and a lot of manufacturing would leave as well
Anyway, what I love about the Left is as soon as things don’t go their way its ‘take my ball and go home’, name calling and threats of violence (see Trump nominees receiving death threats and bomb scares at nominees homes). Truly the seven form common room is the true home of the Left – all talk and no reality
The State Senator recommending New York leave is just trying to clinch the title for most stupid politician of the year. It has no serious intent or even support. A bigger mouth than brain. NY get almost all their energy from other states so they can be virtuous. They probably get more money from US govt than the pay in taxes. Most of the counties in the state voted Republican.
Just need to do screen captures so the progressives can be reminded of their inanities every time some Republican politicians do something stupid (which admittedly is quite often). Remember the congressman who though Guam would tip over from the military base expansion? The MSM didn’t cover it and he got re-elected I believe.
