Of all the Social Media platforms it was, and remains, Xitter, that journalists used and loved the most. That was really where the howling and screaming about Musk’s purchase of Twitter has been coming from these past two years. Sure, there were plenty of Xitter Libtards screaming and screaming and screaming about this but that noise would have gone into a void had it not been amplified by a dying MSM. The following is the logical end-point.

As the man once said…

No word yet on whether they’re heading over to BlueSky to avoid all the violent fascists that Musk has allowed on X.

Today’s latest example of how the MSM don’t get it is the news that a prisoner that CNN helped free from Syrian prison was actually a notorious Assad-regime torturer:

The network went viral last week with footage of the startled prisoner being led from the prison by journalist Clarissa Ward, who called it “one of the most extraordinary moments I have witnessed” in her 20 years of reporting.

But “independent and unbiased” fact-checkers Verify-Sy published a detailed report Sunday saying that the seemingly innocent prisoner was actually Salama Mohammad Salama — a first lieutenant in Syrian Air Force Intelligence with a long history of alleged war crimes.

Forget the “independent and unbiased” crap: the real point here is that people did the investigations of video and pictures that CNN didn’t do because they were just so orgasmic over a story that should have always been regarded as too good to be true – but Clarissa Ward was thrilled and it was great TV so what else mattered.

Verify-Sy did the hard yards by fact checking the story, using video and pictures captured by ordinary citizens, plus just observing the bleeding obvious…

“Verify-Sy noted, however, that he appeared ‘well-groomed, and physically healthy, with no visible injuries or signs of torture — an incongruous portrayal of someone allegedly held in solitary confinement in the dark for 90 days.’”

All done on platforms like Xitter – which CNN and company wonder why they’re losing against (they’re actually losing to the Food Network), or getting angry when Musk tells Xitter people that “You are the media now”. Idiots.

Perhaps I’m being too hard on Ms Ward, whose heart was in the right place and was fooled by a local who knew what she wanted to see and hear, but that’s the scam being pulled on Western “journalists” in any situation you care to think of – from foreign war zones to activists protest at home – and it’s the logical result when the reporter becomes an activist. More of this was on display in an earlier piece where she walked the streets interviewing Syrians celebrating the fall of Assad (the prison rescue bit came later). Being CNN they have to find a Voice Of Freedom in Syria that just happens to be a rather hot young chick who speaks English fairly well, which you see in the video below Greenwald’s comment on Ward talking about how passionate she was to get rid of Assad.

Wait until she encounters the darkness of a burkha. Shame that those looks will be smothered under one, but more likely that she’ll be living in the US within a few months, if she has any sense of self-preservation.
