BlueSky is nothing more than complete and total anti-Trump pathological madness, in addition to a plethora of weird anime, topped with a heaping scoop of degeneracy. Far from its corporate media-advertised depiction as a place for joy and friendly conversation. BlueSky is a safe space for seething left-wingers to engage exclusively with their political allies and to rage at their perceived enemies.

The American Stasi of social media platforms then!

You may not have heard the news but in the wake of President-elect Trump’s victory in the November 2024 election a lot of very, very, VERY angry Lefties have fled the X platform – dominated by Bond Villain Elon Musk – and headed for a platform called BlueSky. About a million of them apparently.

With the following results.

This is no surprise given other aspects of the platform, such as their death threat problem.:

Bluesky advertises itself as the X-alternative for the nice, compassionate left. It claims to be less toxic and a place for civil discussion, without all the misinformation that plagues X. What crap. Bluesky is a leftist sewer in which anybody who deviates from leftist orthodoxy is not only shunned but outright threatened, often with death.

That’s not hyperbole, and to demonstrate how awful it is let’s discuss the case of Jesse Singal. . . . It’s not randos on Bluesky who are calling for Singal’s death or doxxing him–obviously hoping somebody will carry through on the death threats–but journalists, VPs at companies like Microsoft, and prominent lefties who jumped off of X because they claim it is too toxic. The claim, as with all such leftist calls to violence, is that holding disapproved views and expressing them is a form of violence and should be suppressed or their holders destroyed.

Singal is a well known “Trans-Sceptic” reporter so you can guess where the threats of violence are coming from after he joined Blue Sky. I don’t know why he bothered. Investigative reporter Jordan Schachtel, was “banned from the platform after a mere matter of hours” ,as was the Babylon Bee. Again not a surprise as the new Blue Sky Leftist went into action to do what they did in pre-Musk Twitter:

‘In the past 24 hours’, the Bluesky safety team posted last week, ‘we have received more than 42,000 reports (an all-time high for one day). We’re receiving about 3,000 reports [per] hour. To put that into context, in all of 2023, we received 360,000 reports.’

Given that the election result showed that not only had the power of the MSM declined so far and fast that it couldn’t beat Trump and his voters, and that they instead followed X, podcasts and other such platforms , I’ve decided to upgrade what had been a “tag” on these posts, “Big Tech and Social Media” to a “Social Media” “category”, because that appears to be the future of media that politicians and others will have to negotiate from here on.

And about that hate of Musk, the Babylon bee makes the obvious, if sarcastic point.

As the hate, violence and sexual fantasies move to Blue Sky it leaves X to perform the fact-checking role that the MSM abandoned long ago, with the latest being a “funny” crack at Trump that you may have circulating on the internet in the last few days about his remarks about US-Italian history, complete with a giff of his Italian translator’s shocked face. I’ll grant that it was funny while it lasted, but it was the usual MSM “reporting”.

X seems to have increased in power since the election, as witnessed by the latest shock out of Washington with the gigantic “Continuing Resolution” spending bill getting killed within hours of Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy called upon millions of X users to contact their Senate and House reps to protest the bill.

BTW, they used an AI to “read” the bill: the days of hiding shit in 1500 pages also doesn’t work any longer.
