It’s not often that you see a flight test of rockets that produces both but today Starship Test #7 did so, first with the second capture of the booster back at the launchpad…

… then with the explosion and breakup in space (“rapid unscheduled disassembly” in SpaceXspeak) of the Starship (or “Ship”) itself. Two videos follow, both from the Turks and Caicos Islands in the West Atlantic, the first capturing the early part of the breakup and the second the rest of the sequence (turn off the sound in the second because it’s just people wondering if it’s going to hit them, plus other duuuuhhh comments).
