Based on President Trump’s recent trolling of Justin Trudeau – by suggesting that Canada should become the 51st US state – some smartass has decided to map out what this might look like in terms of the Electoral College that elects US presidents.

In reality it would not be one new state but many, as each of the Canadian provinces and territories would be come a state, as they have their own provincial governments now and a history of independence prior to creating Canada, much like the original thirteen colonies of the USA, and as US States have today. I see they’ve added Greenland as well.

Looks like a tossup, with Bloc Quebecois as the spoiler who decides, much like minor parties in our MMP system.
