No, National are NOT Labour lite.
I acknowledge that Labour voters are pig-ignorant, brain-dead fuckwits but at least, going in to the last few elections the party they voted for was open about itself.
Vote Labour and you vote for grossly dishonest, totally incompetent communist dictatorship intent on promoting racism and separatism to destroy New Zealand, no doubt so it can be rebuilt as a communist dream like Cuba.
National campaigned on, and voters had a right to expect that, they were the opposite and would work towards a better, unified New Zealand that would not become Cuba-lite.
Which group of voters got what they voted for?
National are far worse than Labour ( who are more National-lite ) the only real similarity being the desire to destroy New Zealand by turning it into a hell-hole dictatorship.

In 2020 the soccer mums all voted for Jacinda for saving 20,000 granny lives from a slow fiery death.
Turns out 19,900 grannies said “fuck off with your lockdowns, I want to see my grandkids before I die”.

Labour in 2017 were unchanged from Labour in 2008,2011 and 2014 (a complete waste of time – as they subsequently proved) and was far worse in 2020.

As far as I know He Puapua was the creation of Willie Jackson, Nanaia Mahuta and maybe a couple of other Maori members of the Labour 2020 Caucus. Maybe throw in Hone Harawira and Tuku Morgan from outside of Parliament.
Willie touted it around a few Iwi and there is every likelihood it was kept secret from the Labour leadership too until Willie tried to take it to Cabinet.
