I can only conclude that the desire to see churches lose their charitable status is antireligious bigotry. Churches are ontologically charities – they are not businesses. They don’t sell anything, they don’t make profits, and apart from the odd fundraising activity or raffle, they survive exclusively on donations. Why the FUCK should they pay tax on money that they have been voluntarily given?!
Add to this that the people wanting churches to pay tax are the same people who whine about their own taxes and getting tax cuts all the time. Complete hypocrisy.
I notice Farrar has been very quiet on Zelensky’s faceplant too. Hmmm.
