I have been thinking for a few days about doing a post on this and was struggling for appropriate wording, including a succinct summary.
This video sums it up in a way I could not but, to make a few personal points.
- Submitters were heavily biased to groups opposing the bill
- Every Pa and associated Iwi opposed seemed to get a hearing.
- Maori Party/Green and Labour Committee Members were appalling.
- Apart from ACT’s Todd Stephenson questions were of irrelevant or inane or both.
- James Meager was an excellent Chairman.
- Duncan Webb was biased and a poor Chairman.
- The Bias of the Justice Department was evident by their selection of oral submitters.
Now have a look at Whangarei Tims video.
Again well done Whangarei Tim you have summed the process up very well and The Government should be ashamed of themselves for allowing such a biased process to proceed the way it did.
Finally a question:
Why is there not a dress code for Select Committee members?
If the anti Treaty Principles Bill people are so sure they are right, why do they oppose a referendum?
An even bigger questiosn is: Why does Luxon oppose a referendum?
