First up is an unusual study out of Finland that associated mental health with public figures.

When I read that I immediately thought of this…. creature, getting fired from Twitter after Elon Musk took it over.

Which brings me to Musk’s latest efforts in DOGE and the criticism it’s getting for being a wrecking ball.

Here’s the text, in case the X-account vanishes, and I’ve taken the liberty of making it a little more grammatically correct, even if that does reduce the impact of the original:

You’re fired.
Wait, you’re rehired.
Email us a list of things you’ve done today.
Wait! Forget it! You’re fired again.
Come back, your job was important.
You’re fired.
Or hired.
Come into the office.
Wait! The office has no computers.
Go home.
We are the department of government efficiency.

The original was posted from BlueSky, where many Leftists have fled from X, and so was undoubtedly meant to be a satire of “efficiency”.

Unfortunately for Ms Tersigni, this is exactly what tens of millions of people experience when dealing with state bureaucrats, so once again, as has been the case since DOGE started work, there’s going to be bugger all empathy.
