They are crap.
I do not watch full games of Super Rugby until after the 1 April each year because it is the Cricket season until then. But, I do keep track of the scores because I am in a picking competition.
On Friday I changed channels to see what was happening in the Highlanders v Hurricanes game and for over a minute had no bloody idea which team was which.
Same again on Saturday night when I did the same for the Chiefs v Blues game and found the Blues wearing what looked like predominantly red jerseys. What bullshit – red jerseys are for the Crusaders and the Queensland Reds, who are usually more maroon – Blues wear Blue!!!.
Who is the dumbarse that came up with those stupid jerseys which don’t even look like rugby jerseys?
I will bet it is the same prick who has decided to up the cost of Sky Sport by about 10% in a week or two.
Getting near time to cancel and I/we have been Sky customers since the mid 1990’s.
Have a lie down pdm it was Marvel comics last weekend the Canes were Captain America, the Blues Spiderman, The Chiefs Black Panther, Crusaders Iron Man and the Highlanders Hulk.
I know what you are getting at though, recall when Lance Cairns’ boy needed to create a difference he forgot about the bloody cricket.
Havn’t seen the game but Springer had an afternoon out aye
Thanks GD – I have just finished my afternoon siesta. I did not know about the Marvel Comics theme – they must think we are all kids.
I saw 3 tries this week.
The Highlanders intercept.
One of Reeces.
Ratimas.
Missed all of Springers but he must have had a good afternoon
For once I can comment on the topic because I was at a varsity reunion, saw the match on Saturday between the Blues and Chiefs, and we also all wondered what the hell was going on for a while.
Being a bit younger than you fellas π π we realised pretty quickly and knew what it was about.
But we still don’t know why? Marvel must have paid them but their brand is in the shitter with successive $100 million failures since The Avengers:Endgame, plus more to come. Don’t know what marketing genius in the USA thought it would work to have these rugby teams playing in such uniforms, but I guess they didn’t read past the word “Super…..”.
