First it was revelations a few days ago that the German Intelligence service was sure in 2020 that the Wuhan Flu did originate from the Wuhan lab where such viruses were being genetically modified for “gain-of-function” (meaning they’d gain the ability to infect humans). Germany’s foreign intelligence service in 2020 put at 80%-90% the likelihood that the coronavirus behind the COVID-19 pandemic was accidentally released from China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology, two German newspapers reported on Wednesday.

According to a joint report by publications Die Zeit and Sueddeutscher Zeitung, Germany’s spying agency BND had indications that the institute had conducted gain-of-function experiments, whereby viruses are modified to become more transmissible to humans for research purposes.

It also had indications that numerous violations of safety regulations had occurred at the lab, the papers said.

It was this that led to the New York Times announcing the other day that it was shocked, shocked at being misled.

Now it’s the turn of the British Intelligence Service, MI6.

In every case the respective governments of Johnson and Merkel were briefed and chose to ignore it, likely to prevent Chinese reactions on economic and other fronts. In the USA it appears that President Trump – who famously blamed “Chyyna” initially – was silenced by his own Administration. The CIA refused to put out more than obfuscatory stuff that basically said, “maybe, but probably not”, and continued to do so for years, even though they would have had the BND analysis in early 2020 (as the above reports claim they did), given their intelligence sharing protocols.
