Two months ago after Gaza was turned into a bomb site Hamas and Israel reached a ceasefire on January 19th 2025,
A main plank of that cessation of hostilities was a return of captives and in the two months around 33 Israeli hostages either alive or dead have been returned to Israel amidst massive political ceremony involving automatic weapon carrying terrorists in exchange for around two thousand Terrorists released by the IDF.
It is estimated there remain somewhere around 50 Israeli hostages alive or dead in the Tunnels built with humanitarian aid money under the ruins of Gaza.
Yet still the huggies, lefties and numbskull fellow travellers deny the right of the only functioning democracy from Turkey to India to defend itself.
Israel had an election in November 2022 and is due to go again in November 2026.
Gaza had an election in 2006 that handed a win to Hamas as Overlord of the Strip and a proxy of Iran, along with Hezbollah and the Houthis of Yemen while no date is established for another vote, a two decade wait.
I fail to understand how various socialist/marxists such as The NZLP, NZGP and Tamihere’s mob can donn their tea towels while supporting Palestine against the socialist Jewish state are never questioned by a sycophantic MSM as to the overt and blatant antisemitism involved.
Here we go again with Israel finally admitting Hamas have no interest in peace of any form or description and possibly sacrificing the remaining 50 hostages have ended the ceasefire with air attacks. Exactly where the Netanyahu government sees its end of the suppurating sore of Gaza remains to be revealed
In the turbulence and chaos of the post WW1 decades that saw Italy Germany and Spain embark on real Fascism as opposed to the watered down versions falsely termed fascism today, an “International Brigade” of socialists from around the world headed to Spain to give real support to the Anti fascist “Republicans” and bequeathed Franco the victor in Spanish civil war that was anything but civil but did give valuable wartime training for the Luftwaffe as the air part of the Condor legion. Spanish Fascists enjoyed a legend for far less carnage than The Nazis and the Italian fascists of Mussolini in spite of the many who died at the hands of his dictatorship. Franco survived for four decades before death removed him and saw a restoration of Spanish Royalty. Perhaps all the fellow travelers should head to Gaza as an “International Brigade”, now that would invite further investing in Popcorn futures aye.
