That is Central Hawkes Bay College located in Waipukurau. I went there for four good years 1960 to 1963 inclusive.
Mind you I cannot understand why CHB College needs to be part of the School Lunch system. Central Hawkes Bay people were always independent and capable of providing for themselves and their families.
However, in support of the work David Seymour is doing in this area and to counter the bullshit thrown at him and the Coalition Government here is the HBToday article re how the current school lunch system is functioning well at CHB College.
Bloody hell they say the school gets 514 lunches a day for a roll of 522. That is every pupil allowing for a few sick each day which is pretty much unbelievable.
Are all Central Hawkes Bay college parents that lazy?
I suppose though that it does mean no one wags – or are the teachers looking after themselves too?
No Minister 
Some years ago, some well meaning people started supplying breakfast food at our local primary school where my kids attended.
It was targeted at poor kids, who may not have enough to eat at home. it was run in a very light hearted way so the kids didn’t feel ashamed, and the local bussinesses happily provided food.
They provided strawberries, and all sorts of delicious stuff, etc -whatever the kids wanted was happily prepared by the volunteers.
In the end though, some parents ended up competing with whatever they were providing, so the kids wouldn’t eat weetbix or whatever at home, because there are strawberries, etc at school..
Same thing at a school in our old neighbourhood in Hastings 15/20 years ago – as told to us by a School Board member.
Breakfast provided for one obviously malnourished child by the school.
Within a few weeks half of the school were lining up for breakfast.
Why? I suspect many people lament losing the ability to repent, confess and be absolved. Every week.
Its been replaced with the virtue signal. The virtue signal needs to be ever escalated, as it never works. The supply side is infinite. Unresolved guilt.
New Zealand is being trained to beg off the system. To work the angles for a govt rebate. Its everywhere.
