Democracy: What do you wish for, voter?
Me: I wish to destroy Wellington.
Democracy: I give you a choice between…. Tory Whanau …
Me: (small tear emerges from right eye).
Democracy: …and Andrew Little.
Me: (between floods of tears)… Oh God be praised. Thank you. Thank you, Democracy. I’ll never doubt you again.

Yes, apparently it’s true, according to our plugged-in Wellington blogger and political insider, David Farrar: Andrew Little is likely to contest the Wellington Mayoralty, directly challenging one of the Green Goddesses (and current Mayor) Tory Whanau.

Wellington was such a great place from the late 80’s through the 1990’s, but in the last twenty five years it’s slowly been reduced to the sad, grey, grim place it was for decades as the seat of government, but now with increased criminality – and that’s just in the Green Party.
