UPDATE:
Ah! Parker was a good mate of his. That explains the blindness – and now more blindness…
Labour losing David Parker huge loss for Labour, means wealth tax is dead and could be the new Mayor of Auckland

When you read his endless, copy-and-pasted rants over at his blog, The Psychic Scream, it becomes obvious that long-time Lefty activist “Bomber” Bradbury knows fuck all about most things of which he writes: economics, business, military, foreign policy, Israel, climate change, renewable energy, science in general, crime, policing,…
Basically everything except politics and media, because those are the two areas in which he has immersed himself his entire life, so some expertise should be there.
Well maybe not!
Just two days ago on April 6 he wrote this long poem of love about David Parker:
David Parker reminds everyone why he should be the Leader
It was so filled with praise for the non-entity that I can only assume David had found Bomber’s clitoris. I won’t quote any of this cringe except the final line:
David Parker is smart and the Left are lucky to have him.
News just came out today that Parker is quitting politics. So much for those political antenna Bradbury has developed and the political grapevines he’s invested so much in developing that he totally missed the boat in just (checks notes) two days.
Mind you, he’s not that sharp on the media front either, his latest rants being about the threatened takeover of the NZME (publishers of the NZ Horrid) by a Canadian billionaire with titles such as:
Will Alt-Right Canadian Billionaire make Detective Ani O’Brien and Inspector Ian Wishart Editors of the NZ Herald?
In vain have Right Wing commentators tried to tell him that most of us gave up reading the Horrid years ago because of its Lefty bent across all issues and that no “Alt-Right” (how 2015) billionaire purchaser will bring us back.
The question begged always by Bomber and company is why – if these are already Right-Wing media sources – the Right have increasingly deserted them and so many Lefties like him are upset about their being purchased by a right-wing billionaire.
Nope, Bradbury, like his commentators and those of The Standard, continue to push the line that because the NZME is a private sector company that likes making a profit it’s automatically a Right-Wing outfit because Capitalism (which has long been the claim of the Far Left when looking at the New York Times, Washington Post, etc). Issues of Lefty staff and editors and story narratives and other things in the engine room of the machine make no impact on these claims even when their attitudes are out in the open, as another billionaire MSM owner, Jeff Bezos, recently discovered with his Washington Post staff:
During the meeting, the paper’s opinion columnists and editors, exhibiting a high level of distress, unloaded on opinion editor David Shipley, complained that Bezos was destroying the paper’s reputation as an “independent journalistic organization,” and repeatedly denounced former president Donald Trump. One editor fretted that the “one thing that can’t happen in this country is for Trump to get another four years.”
But the Left outside the MSM are still freaking out about Bezos just as much as his staff are.
Bradbury is an idiot and I’m glad that he continues to try and advise the Left on how to win elections. His only saving grace is that this “proud Marxist Socialist” is opposed to Woke – but that’s only because it destroys his precious Class Warfare.
Even more than being an idiot, he’s also increasingly irrelevant. And every time he launches into one of his unpleasant attacks on people like Ani O’Brien I’m sure he loses more contacts on the left, certainly the moderate ones.
I know he thinks he’s an expert on politics but as you point out, he really knows very little. It’s just the same boring copy/paste every day shaped by an unhealthy infatuation with Jacinda and Chloe.
For Bradbury The Daily Blog is basically just an electronic version of a megaphone used in a street protest, hence the repetitive cut n’ paste stuff, the online version of “1, 2, 3, 4, We Don’t Want Your….whatever”.
I think that he really does think that having everything pitched at MAXIMUM PITCH – the headlines, the descriptions of his opponents and their policies, etc, that he’ll somehow win arguments and elections.
Parker’s main claim to fame is that he cuckolded musician Chris Knox after the poor man had a stroke. Which is about as odious as it gets. Good to hear he won’t be cuckolding the New Zealand public in future as well.
Haha, in yet another little tell of its ideological leanings, Wikipedia’s entry on Knox mentions nothing of his wife.
Wouldn’t want to provide easy access to that knowledge, eh Wiki editors. You never know where it might lead.
That’s odd, given that she’s the subject of his most famous song, as explicitly stated in the song.
I notice the usual fools on Kiwiblog, when confronted with Parker’s profligacy, are claiming it’s his personal life and either irrelevant, or none of our business. That’s certainly true in Ward’s case, but she is not a public figure. Parker is, and while I’m not unsympathetic to the idea that one should consider a man’s professional life separately from his personal life, there is a certain threshold where personal character overrides other considerations. It’s one thing to simply have an affair with a married/defacto-entwined person – Trump, Brash, Prebble, John Major, Clinton, and many others have all been guilty of that. Garden variety infidelity is something that can generally be passed over, because there but for the grace of God go many of us. But stealing someone’s Missus after the poor fellow has a stroke is kind of beyond the pale. That’s not an honourable thing for any man to do. So yeah, I have no problem bringing that up.
Hear hear e2t, another “ankles”?
