Bill Maher is an American comedian that I can almost always get a laugh out of, even when’s really ripping on the Right Wing, RW policies – and Christians. He can also be on point in his non-comedic criticisms about issues, on which he often takes turns to attack his own “side”, including not just the fat, stupid target that is the Democrat Party but the weird shit that Left-wing politics is occasionally prone to suffering. None more so than the Identity Politics of recent years, which the video still above showing Maher comparing the 2020’s Left fights with the Struggle Sessions of the 1960’s Chinese Communist Party:
If you are part of today’s Woke Revolution, then you need to study the part of revolutions where they spin out of control because the revolutionaries get so drunk on their own purifying elixer, that they imagine they can reinvent the very nature of human beings.
In the last few years Maher has thus been walking the rather thin line of his own side, right beside the precipice called Cancel Kulture and in recent days he may have walked over by committing the Sin Of All Sins – sitting down for a personal dinner with President Trump, a man he has legendarily attacked many times on many different issues, but also on his persona. Even the news that he had accepted the invitation was blowing minds. Here’s one part of his assessment of that dinner.
As you can imagine, this triggered a lot of people, as testified to by this Washington Post reporter, Josh Rogin, who – in between pandering to Maher – assures him that 99% of the Internet would agree with Rogin that Maher got played. Maher bats this back a bit but I think he’s getting a bit pissed off with this greasy little shit lecturing him and condescending to him. Watch:
Several points to be made here:
- Rogin represents 5/8ths of fuck all when it comes to people, let alone 99 percent of the Internet.
- But the attitudes seen here in the form of Rogin likely do represent 99% of the MSM.
- Why would Trump need to convince Maher? He already convinced 77 million people to vote for him in spite of being called a “felon” and a “rapist”, plus all the other lawfare. He doesn’t need a PR stunt.
- The Washington Post is basically an upmarket version of The Daily Kos / Huffington Post / Talking Points Memo and half-a-dozen others. No wonder even the Left attend to those forums more than the WaPo.
I’m quite sure that this won’t stop Maher ripping on Trump personally or about his policies from here on.
I’m also quite sure that since normies had already long ago dismissed whatever the Rogin’s of the world had to say about Trump, they increasingly have dismissed any critic of Trump who sounds like their hair is on fire about him, even if their criticism is sometimes accurate.
Here’s the full video or “book report” as Maher puts it.
Got yourself a gold Trump lapel pin yet? No loyal cultist should be without one!
