As in firing the vaccine chief of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Dr. Peter Marks, and for a very good reason:

Shortly before he was forced to resign, the nation’s top vaccine regulator says he refused to grant Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s team unrestricted access to a tightly held vaccine safety database, fearing that the information might be manipulated or even deleted.

WTF? Here’s the deal pal, he’s your boss, and you don’t get to tell him to fuck off because you’re paranoid. In what world is the actual head of the gigantic Human and Health Services department, appointed by the elected President on behalf of the people of the United States, not allowed access to the VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) database? Dr Mark’s world obviously, which is why he no longer works there.

And why would a vaccine skeptic like RFKJr. delete a database of bad reactions to vaccines? The database is evidence to a vaccine skeptic. I can only assume that Mark’s paranoia is that Kennedy’s people would edit the database by making up adverse vaccine reactions and adding them to it – which makes me wonder about the mindset of Marks and his people; did they edit out or re-classify records of adverse reactions to the C-19 vaccines?

Psychological projection is Freud’s best theory.

Marks is added to the list that Kennedy already announced of a reduction of some 20,000 HHS employees, as multiple HHS departments and agencies will be “merging… into a new organization called the Administration for Healthy America or AHA.”

It may sound stupid but as Kennedy has pointed out, in the years since the HHS and all these other Federal outfits were created, the American population has got very much less healthy

Meantime you won’t believe the insanity that HHS was funding:

  • “Adapting an LGB+ inclusive teen pregnancy prevention program for transgender boys” – $1,319,024 grant awarded to the Center for Innovative Public Health Research.
  • “Structural Racism and Discrimination in Older Men’s Health Inequities” – $2,554,402 to The University of California.
  • “Sex hormone effects on neurodevelopment: Controlled puberty in transgender adolescents” – $3.6 million to Stanford University.
  • “Buddhism and HIV Stigma in Thailand: An Intervention Study” – $822,539 grant to UCLA.
  • “Harnessing the power of text messaging to reduce HIV incidence in adolescent males across the United States” – $5 million

Hundreds of other HHS grants like those, focusing on DEI topics, have been canceled by Kennedy.

As to the grift, the real money may not lie in what HHS spent on nonsense but on what it allowed to happen in the private sector. Kennedy may be on the verge of cancelling Big Pharma advertising on TV. Apparently of all the nations in the world only the USA and little ole’ us in New Zealand allow them to do so.

The latter surprised me because even back in the day when I regularly watched NZ TV I don’t recall Pharma advertisements, while it was one of the first things to shock me when I landed in the US in the 1980’s. The frequency and ubiquity of such ads was incredible, and back then they almost all seemed to be about pain medication, though I suppose there are more now around weight loss, blood pressure and other everyday health issues. Quite the contrast to all the screaming in the last four decades about tobacco advertising.

[This is a] direct strike at the lifeblood of networks like CNN, MSNBC, & CNBC, where Big Pharma bankrolls the programming generating 75% of ad revenue.

It makes me wonder what the figures are here for New Zealand TV?

If Kennedy does this it could get ugly for the MSM and the Pharmaceutical companies, as Liz Wheeler argues:

  1. The corporate media will fail. You will watch before your very eyes as highly paid MSM anchors are fired, networks panic & some shut down, and paychecks aren’t paid. The entire business of MSM is a fake business. It’s artificially propped up by massive ad dollars from Pharma ads. Not because of the return on investment that Pharma sees peddling their drugs on TV, but rather because of WHY Pharma buys so many TV ads in the first place, which is to prevent reporting on Pharma corruption.
  2. Accordingly, when the gravy chain of Pharma ad dollars to TV networks stops, we will suddenly see reporting on the corruption of Big Pharma, drugs, vaccines, medical associations like AAP & AMA, and govt regulation agencies like CDC & FDA–reporting that was previously prohibited because the ad money Pharma paid networks was really just a pay off for silence.

It’s basically a money laundering scheme.

The Left is going to put up a hell of fight on this, given how hard it may hit two of their main props – though let’s not forget that Big Pharma has greased the wheels of the GOP for decades as well.

But the Left’s position is especially strange given how opposed they’d been for years to these giant drug companies and their profits. Now they’ve become Big Pharma’s shock troops – and it starts with the history of gay activists attacking Saint Anthony Fauci back in the 1990’s because of the uselessness of his NIAID (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases) section of the HHS – yet with one of the most prominent gay activists, Larry Kramer, later becoming friends with Fauci. It was a harbinger of other Left-wing shifts on the issue of medical drug companies:

As confrontational as it was, ACT UP was also adept at making alliances. It hailed from the far left, but its goals weren’t always traditionally leftist ones. In fact, the movement’s rallying cry “Drugs Into Bodies” aligned it with a conservative push to deregulate the pharmaceutical industry, conversely pitting it against liberals who favored regulation and consumer protection. Moreover, despite ACT UP’s radical aesthetics, much of the medical and scientific establishment wound up finding the group’s message congenial. In 1990, at the Sixth International AIDS Conference in San Francisco, Fauci spoke highly of AIDS activists and exhorted his colleagues to take them seriously. For this, ACT UP members gave him a standing ovation.

I vividly recall all this, given that a friend in the US was dying of AIDS as it happened. BTW, Fauci in 1983, wrote an editorial for the Journal of the American Medical Association suggesting AIDS could spread through “routine close contact”, thus amping up the homophobia. He was a slippery POS even back then and this story is so similar to his scares about Covid-19.

There was a method to the madness and that was in getting maximum attention and research funding, which was why Fauci and Kramer ended up on the same side to portray AIDS as a universal catastrophe, possibly the worst plague of all time – just like Covid-19 almost four decades later.

….portraying the disease as a universal threat, despite the fact that it was overwhelmingly a risk for the frail and elderly. In both instances, the effect was the same: to promote dependence on the public-health apparatus and expand the consumer base for novel pharmaceuticals.…it became common to prescribe antiretrovirals not just for AIDS patients, but also as a daily preventive measure for healthy sexually active gay men. 

Which is where things began to bring Big Pharma and the Left together:

As the physician and critic of medicine Seamus O’Mahony has written, “Pharma’s single greatest idea was to move its focus from the sick to the well, thus creating vast new markets of ‘patients’ requiring lifetime treatment with drugs.”

Not just AIDS but blood pressure, cholesterol, fat in general (the most recent drug for this is Ozempic) and many things, a lifetime of medicated people, Big Pharma’s ultimate dream. It started funding patient-support groups, thus presenting itself as the voice of the powerless, while also arguing that Public Healthcare was served by keeping these people from more expensive emergency treatments.

But it is two recent events that have cemented this strange alliance (with the Corporate GOP still in the mix on regulations, tax treatments and Medicare/Medicaid subsidies), the Covid-19 pandemic and Trans issues:

During the Covid pandemic, many activists demanded that medicine and public health be accorded massive power over our daily lives. Notable among them was Yale epidemiologist and public intellectual Gregg Gonsalves, a veteran of ACT UP. As a young man, Gonsalves spoke of the need for activists to prod science in the right direction on AIDS research. More recently, he became a vociferous advocate of mask and vaccine mandates to fight Covid.

Great! From one screwup to another, with all the wrong lessons learned. The Trans stuff should be even more obvious:

With trans rights, the merger of Big Pharma and left-wing activism has become fully autonomous, creating a new minority with a lifelong medical condition in need of ongoing interventions, to be supplied by some of the wealthiest and most powerful oligopolies on earth. 

Kennedy has got a hell of a fight on his hands.
