The best description for what the Times and WaPo are doing is “totschweigetaktik,” a great German word for “death by silence,” a tactic to kill ideas or news stories by ignoring them – Miranda Devine

If you’ve ever watched a press briefing and felt like everyone was asking the same questions, it’s because the corporate media drones are usually the only ones getting any.

You go girl!

In looking at the American Establishment Hive Mind and the recent actions of the Trump Administration in cutting off the supply of money to its various functionaries – from small NGO’s, large NGO’s, Medical Academics and Big Pharma, government “information” agencies, Big Law – the ways in which the MSM contributed went far beyond what they collaborated with the Biden Administration about, including manipulating MSM and Social Media coverage during the 2020 election:

In a newly discovered Zoom recording, the Biden/Harris team reveals how they manipulated voters to think Biden’s mental decline was “disinformation”.

Among many other things… Mr. Flaherty repeatedly participated in oral meetings with social-media platforms about so-called COVID “misinformation,” as documents filed by Plaintiffs repeatedly attest… emails show Flaherty carrying out the (supposedly) counter-misinformation program in the White House, pushing Facebook to censor Tucker Carlson for correctly saying the COVID-19 vaccine didn’t stop transmission, and Tomi Lahren for her strong “my body, my choice” stance

The recording of the Zoom call where Flaherty boasted about all this was especially vomit inducing. When he was later questioned by a Congressional Committee about all this, under oath, he refused to try and define what “misinformation” was, probably because the real answer was anything they don’t like.

Read the whole link to see the videos and understand how such “mere” MSM-Social Media efforts would have had an impact given that Biden won by fewer than 200K votes in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, & Wisconsin combined. There were lawsuits, like Missouri v. Biden (now styled Murthy v. Missouri), and Rob Flaherty eventually resigned from his position amidst the court battles. But I’m sure the prick and his friends will turn up again; that’s too valuable a weapon for the Democrat Party to drop.

In any case the MSM, Google, Facebook and pre-Musk Twitter didn’t need much of a push from Biden’s minions. They were their willing censors and propagandists, as they have been for the Establishment for decades now.

But one of the most public ways they’ve pulled this off was in none other than the White House Press Room.

If you’ve ever watched a press briefing and felt like everyone was asking the same questions, it’s because the corporate media drones are usually the only ones getting any.

The White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) creates the seating chart in the briefing room, determining who is most likely to be called on by a press secretary. They place correspondents from the large broadcast and cable networks in the front rows. Only a couple of conservative outlets are given seats at all, and they are plopped in the back. Everyone else has to stand in the aisles, throw some elbows to retain some personal space, and pray they get called on. The Daily Caller just recently gained a seat in the briefing room; it did not have one when I covered the White House. The Spectator does not have one either.

This is how they crafted the scenes of the likes of Jim Acosta going after Trump and his people in those press conferences and, once Biden arrived, boxed out right-wing reporters from asking questions that might hurt that Administration. The WHCA took care of its friends – and its enemies (in the Mafia sense of the term). It was another part of the naivety of Trump 1.0 that they never dealt with this shit, which seriously pissed me off.

The first three rows are occupied by the following outlets: NBC News, Fox News, CBS News, the Associated Press, Reuters, CNN, The Wall Street Journal, CBS News Radio, Bloomberg, NPR, The Washington Post, The New York Times, USA Today, Politico, AP Radio and PBS Radio, McClatchy, the foreign pool, AFP, Los Angeles Times, and ABC News Radio. Of the 49 seats in the briefing room, just nine are occupied by right-leaning news outlets. If you exclude Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, and Fox Radio, then you’re down to six. Of those six, five are seated in the back rows.

Trump 2.0 is a different story.

You go girl!

What makes this even juicier is that it was triggered by an MSM source, the Associated Press (AP) when they bitched about being cut off from the President after refusing to call the Gulf of Mexico by its new, and official, name, the Gulf of America:

For those keeping track at home. AP threw a tantrum and sued. The judge asked why the White House Correspondents Association even had the power to control access. White House said, great point. Yeah this isn’t required under any law. Thanks AP!

In the first few weeks this didn’t seem to make much difference as the MSM kept their seats. But Leavitt and company were just making plans and a month later they unloaded:

The White House plans to impose its own seating chart for reporters in the briefing room in coming weeks, taking over a function long managed by the reporters themselves through the White House Correspondents’ Association.

And boy are the Legacy Media unhappy. (see the first video link above). BTW, that little POS had been seen just days earlier yukking up with the disgraced Taylor Lorenz about her gushing coverage of murderer Luigi Magionie (who she appears to want to have sex with very badly).

Almost the only Right Winger on CNN, Scott Jennings, who is basically the only reason to ever watch them, also unloaded about much the same stuff, which his panel then denied completely:

They’re tired of media institutions favoring one party over another. They’re tired of narratives over factual stories. If I had any advice for 60 Minutes or anybody else, it would be: just cover the news and try to be fair about it and stop putting your finger on the scale, especially during campaigns.”

All of this could be seen coming way back in 2022 in the aftermath of Musk’s purchase of Twitter when the revelations came thick and fast (earning the snark of the Babylon Bee, Government Warns That With Elon Owning Twitter They Will Only Control 97% Of The Media):

Days later, these pieces of news broke – but not in the MSM:

Journalist Miranda Devine – a real journalist who asks questions and investigates things, summed it up thusly:

Every morning, these august organs set the narrative for newsrooms across the country, and yet, time and again, we see them ignore stories that don’t suit their own agenda as propaganda purveyors for the Democratic Party and the security state.

This has been obvious in their non-coverage of Elon Musk’s Twitter Files, four batches over 10 days so far, which have revealed a chilling censorship regime at the social media giant, which no doubt is replicated across Big Tech, including at Facebook and Google.

One of the funny things is that New York Times actually did get a bit of forecasting correct for once as they talked of Musk in 2022:, saying that he, “sounds a lot like a Republican — and, sometimes, a lot like Mr Trump” – the worst possible insult in the eyes of its 6 million subscribers.
